... the moon dimly shone through the dome, but even this little light was enough to illuminate the even circle trampled in the wheat field.
Demo sat on a large black box with unmistakably suggestive symbols and was weaving colorful wires together. The Doctor sat near a wooden box, closer to the wheat stalks.
- Aren't we being a little too cruel? - asked Demo, as usual, holding several wires in her teeth.
- This world is much harsher than they could imagine, - the Doctor said calmly.
Demo returned to making the charge. The Doctor closed his eyes and leaned back against the box.
- On the other hand, they didn't do anything to us, - Demo said sleepily.
- Only at first glance, - the Doctor said without opening his eyes.
- So what?
- Do you remember the Empties?
Demo flinched.
- Ugh... you don't forget something like that... but how are they connected to the domes?
The Doctor opened his eyes, sat up straight, and adjusted his glasses.
- October was attacked from within...Bio took the metal cylinder that the Doctor had given him some time ago in his normal hand; it was an item from the gang's special supplies. The cylinder smoothly entered a special slot in his chest, and a viscous liquid spread through Bio's veins. The pain that had just overwhelmed him began to dissipate; his movements became more clumsy, but several times faster.
Another blow to the stomach, and
Arandor fell to his knees again, writhing in pain. An unknown brute stood over him for a while, waiting for him to get up, but he didn't wait and left. However, he didn't go very far; a loud bark and a scream were heard.
An electric shock hit
Spear in a very unfortunate place; he almost tumbled down the large spiral staircase in the main building of the technicians.
People saw that someone visited
ToX's house today; who could it be?
Empty pointed the gun at
Kits and froze. She, in turn, looked intently into his lifeless eyes. A loud wheeze was heard, and Empty said in his terrifying voice something in an incomprehensible language. His victim's eyes widened, and she screamed. Shots rang out, and the bullets, flying a few centimeters from her, hit the wall of the nearest house. She quickly darted behind a wooden fence, and a couple of seconds later, she was already behind it; a cold hand immediately grabbed her by the neck, preventing her from doing what she had intended. It was foolish to leave the house today; she would have been safe there. A crack and a muffled scream were heard.
WhiteLizard was returning home along the illuminated central square; there were still not many people on the streets. A person in a hooded cloak, standing inconspicuously near one of the columns of the technical structure, took advantage of this. With a quiet rustle, a rifle slid out from under the cloak. A loud click was heard, and Lizard fell onto the road, bleeding.
Waiting for the killer to disappear, she ran up to the still-living Lizard. Taking her treasure out of its case, she injected a syringe with a silvery liquid directly into the victim's neck. The last ampoule, saved by her from May, was now gone. She could only hope that it was not in vain.
Lizard screamed in pain and began to twitch violently; this continued for ten minutes, after which he fell into a deep sleep. There was no trace of the wounds inflicted by the bullets.
