In this thread, anyone can ask questions about completing any part of "The Code" or share their suggestions.
You can read a complete, perfect walkthrough here, but it's difficult to follow (I tried myself), and questions in the thread will help to make the walkthrough more specific :).
I have a question: how did you complete the "Old Hermit" mission in the Magic campaign? It seemed to me that it's impossible to complete it on gold difficulty :(.
I have a question: how did you guys complete the "Old Hermit" mission in the Might and Magic campaign? It seemed impossible to complete it on gold difficulty :(.
Sorry in advance for the late reply. Well, it's quite possible even on hard difficulty, but I recommend completing it after "Visit to Quendaelon," as both Brennok will level up (to level 2-3) and Gilwen's shadow will become stronger, and most importantly, she will have a powerful area-of-effect spell that deals 30 damage with a bonus against armored units.
To complete it on gold, you need to kill a certain number of enemies, kill the shaman, and protect the villages. I don't see any particular difficulties. On the first turn, Gilwen is summoned to the central village, and on the second turn, Glinderin is summoned to the western village (who, in turn, will summon either swordsmen to the eastern village or archers to the central village), and Brennok travels to the locations where the elves were killed (the blue clouds), not forgetting to visit the castle in the swamp, where he will pick up an artifact for invisibility, which will allow him to move around the map more successfully. It also won't hurt to distribute artifacts to the real troops before the battle.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and I'll try to answer.
