Also, there are two laptops connected via Tungle. The game correctly identifies the VPN IP addresses, but when searching for a game, it says that the IP address is not found. Both computers have Windows 7, and the adapter preferences are configured correctly. We even played once, but then it disconnected, and now it won't connect. Are there any experts who can advise me? Please help.
Sincerely, Alexey.
By the way, if someone else creates the game, not me, this problem disappears, but only for some of the affected players. What kind of weirdness is this???
Basically, here's the deal: sometimes in a multiplayer game (through Hamachi), some players can't choose a race or a hero (by default, it sets Castle (Humans), and in the Hero field, it displays nothing). They can only choose a resource, gold, or an artifact. However, everything works fine for me, but some other players have this problem. Why does this happen?

There's no weirdness, everything is clear and straightforward. This problem occurs if the host has a slow internet connection or possibly some connection issues between the providers. When you create a game, don't change any settings and don't type in the game chat (the opponent also shouldn't type anything, so the loading process will be faster) until you see the opponent joining. At the top of the window, it says that the server maps are loading or something like that. So, clear the maps and random maps folders and wait for the game to load completely (it might take 2-3 minutes, or even 15).

I have this problem: single-player game, AI player's turn. I see their hero running around, then they stop, and that's it - the turn timer freezes, and the hero stands there... it's as if their turn continues indefinitely.

Guys, help me solve the problem with Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death, version 3.0. Recently, when I enter multiplayer mode and go to the TCP/IP tab, the game freezes... I can't play online, even though it used to work fine. I've already reinstalled the game and enabled compatibility mode with XP, but it didn't help... what's the problem? Can anyone help?
I had the same problem, and system restore helped. Then it happened again, and I couldn't figure out anything else, so I had to reinstall Windows
In battle mode, Options -> Warrior Information – at least one checkbox should be selected.
Restoring the system helped! Thank you!

Here's the thing: sometimes in a network game (through Hamachi), some players can't choose a race or a hero (by default, it sets to Castle (Humans), and in the Hero field, it says nothing). They can only choose a resource, gold, or an artifact. However, I'm fine, and some other players have this problem.
I'll add: if we start playing, one person will definitely not see what we've already done, and essentially, it's their turn, but as soon as we leave the game, their turn immediately begins - it's some kind of magic...
I'll immediately note that my internet connection is fine, we disabled firewalls, and we set compatibility mode and run as administrator. I have no idea what's going on. Because when playing with two players, we don't notice these lags, although it often kicks us out or freezes, but that's another story...
On top of everything else, the Hamachi server seems to connect computers differently depending on the OS and settings (I'm not sure). Try connecting via Game Ranger, Team Viewer, Plan. Although I haven't played through them with more than two people myself:)
So, here's the deal: sometimes in online games (using Hamachi), some players can't select a faction or a hero (by default, it sets to Castle (Humans), and in the Hero field, it displays nothing). They can only choose a resource, gold, or an artifact. However, everything works fine for me, but some other players have this problem.
This has been reported before. Try, when everyone joins your game, to slowly click through the random map settings. Specifically, 8 7 6 5 4 3 2, 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, and then set it to the number of players, for example, if there are three of you, set it to 3, if there are four, set it to 4.
Also, delete all maps from the Maps folder, leaving only one. This will help the settings transmit faster.
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того

You described it correctly; that's exactly what's happening to us. It's a pity if the situation is fundamentally unsolvable.
In general, if I describe the situation in more detail, two people are in the same room, on different laptops with equally good internet connections. The third player lives in the same city as me, and his internet connection is also excellent. All versions are, of course, the same (I don't think it's the internet, as we've played much larger games with Skype and 10-30 people without any issues). Everyone has the same operating system (Windows 7).
Lider1 and R55Max, we will definitely try your suggestions; thank you.

We tried various programs similar to Hamachi, but it didn't help.
However, Lider1's suggestion "Yes, and you should delete all maps from the Maps folder, leaving only one. This will speed up the transfer of settings."
- has already yielded some results, but the main test will be when we play with three people (we are currently testing with two).
In the meantime, we need to urgently figure out the freezes and disconnects... There are no patterns here (it just crashes or freezes when it wants to - either on my side or on the opponent's side, and it doesn't matter what time it is, what turn it is, or what artifacts are involved; it feels like it's just random)
