Well, I started listening to Therion with these albums, which are death metal. And Lemuria and Secret of the Runes are among my favorite albums. But despite all this, I still haven't heard half of Therion :o
I downloaded the album by this band, and it's good.
So, knowledgeable people, recommend me some bands: 1) Metalcore. Dark, aggressive, not cheesy. Like Antagonist, but better. Or like Demon Hunter, but even more intense. 2) Light and cheerful folk or symphonic folk, or rock or metal, but something uplifting.
Volke: metalcore is inherently cheesy; there are only a few good songs. As for folk, come to me, although I don't have anything Russian and probably won't.
No, not really. Take Demon Hunter and Antagonist, for example; they're not weak at all.
P.S. I've only listened to one album by Antagonist. He's evil, yes, but a bit depressing.
And no Russian folk music, please. Give me some Norwegian folk music.
