What are you doing, lone maniac?:confused: When a clue is provided, it's provided INSTEAD of one of the two, or in addition to the only one.
If the murder was unsuccessful, the murderer will find out, but won't know why it was unsuccessful. Unsuccessful murders don't provide clues, except for those that the murderer claims himself.
A burned body is not a clue, but a method of murder. You wouldn't consider chopped-up pieces a clue, would you?
and the method of murder is a chopped-up body. ;)
