Regarding the confusion with Castles – yes, it’s a bug. I haven’t noticed it myself, but many players have written about it. If it’s really annoying, you can revert to patch 1.05 8x, as it doesn’t have this issue, nor does it have the hotseat feature. As for the scroll bars – almost everyone has criticized the developers for this oversight. And yet, there was still hope that they (the developers) read bug reports and player suggestions.
Patch 1.06.2 has been released, quite tolerable, the game is almost ready for consumption. (Just kidding.) A few screenshots: a scout named Arandor (named after the HeroesWorld user of the same name) ;)
Good in combat and with a sense of humor) In the first screenshot — the moment when Arandor kills an imp, leaving only its legs. In the second — with a beautiful strike, he fells a brigand with a mace.
.dat announced the "Resurrection" add-on, which will feature the Undead as a full-fledged race (in the first part of Diablo 3, the Undead only appeared as neutral creatures). The video is very short and blurry; the developers' credits are clearly visible, and this part takes up most of the video. The remaining 2 seconds are dedicated to a brief overview of the appearance of the units following Mortis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UfN3CQoLJo The link leads directly to YouTube; those with limited data plans should avoid clicking.
I installed the patch, and now the castles seem to be displayed correctly. And THERE’S EVEN A SCROLLBAR FOR THE MERCHANT!!! I hope they won’t take as long to fix the Necropolis as they did in the original game... -_-
Who knows, who knows. They promise it will be ready by November, but we'll see... Although, in my opinion, it's better if they don't rush and do everything properly, rather than releasing a game that simply won't run for half of those who bought the disc.
They weren't in a hurry with the original version. They kept working on it, the fans were eagerly anticipating it, and then they released this mess. I have a strong feeling that the developers, following a glorious Russian tradition, spent at least a couple of weeks "celebrating" each new unit model, and when the deadlines started to loom, they quickly programmed everything and sat back, pleased with themselves.
I've completed all the campaigns, but the frequent bugs often ruined my desire to continue playing.

Yes. I honestly can't understand the negative reviews about this game; I really enjoyed it. ALTHOUGH! after the first launch, I deleted it after 10 minutes and left it for later (after Heroes and Warcraft, I wasn't used to the gothic style), but after reading various information about the game, I wanted to figure it out, and it really hooked me, and I liked it! The graphics are excellent; since I haven't played the second part, I can't say "I didn't like the Elven Castle," because I did like it, and the internal view of the unit was pleasing (there are a couple of exceptions). The plot... it seems good, but I generally don't delve into the plot in strategy games, because it's not the main thing; Warcraft 3 is an exception. Regarding bugs... I didn't have any bugs in the game (sometimes it took a long time to load when exiting and entering the Castle), although there was one bug... when in the Elven mission, I attacked a Black Naga squad, and the battle didn't start, but the hero happily exclaimed "Victory!" No experience or anything was given, and the unit remained standing on the map, but this problem was easily solved (I just went around it). In general, to love this game, you need to play it for at least 15 minutes, and most importantly, get used to its style; after that, you get real pleasure from the game. Regarding the expansion... I can't say that I'm eagerly awaiting it, because I don't like the undead (I prefer the Inferno faction), but I will still buy it, and I'm really looking forward to the expansion about the Dwarves, because this is my favorite race in fantasy games, movies, books, etc.
I'm posting the voice acting and portraits for the Necropolis faction: http://nevendaar.com/news/2010-11-24-331 ______________________________________ I wish we could play it sooner!
No, it's just that the entire .dot team has no idea what they're doing. ;)
I agree with every word. Who was the genius who came up with the idea to set the stats on a 1000-point scale, or to add 3 races instead of the usual 4, or to create a huge battlefield (it should have been about twice as small), an inconvenient backpack (it's full of stuff... and you have to dig through it), and many other flaws, but I'm still looking forward to the add-on.
Added 2 minutes later Werevolka
I'm posting the voice acting and portraits of the Necropolis:
It looks like the same people who voiced Warcraft did the voice acting.
