Of course, it's rare to find all of the above described in one place, and those rare settings that don't fit most of my dislikes are almost entirely unbelievable. They give me great pleasure with their alternative nature.
Yes, Morni took Tolkien and created the image of elves based on his works. As a fan of cognitive dissonance, I don't like it. However, we've already argued about this, and it's impossible to convince him, so I'm not going to argue again. I'll just say that canons are canons, but you can't stick to them forever.
However, the risk of encountering such elves is decreasing now, as they have become tiresome for almost everyone, so more interesting things are appearing, such as the savage Bosmer from the beloved TES, the rather strange Adeptus Astartes elves (though, can you name me even one sane character from there, including the gods?), and the quite strong HoMM bodybuilders.
I'm getting at the fact that in HoMM 6, elves can be very interesting and not at all stereotypical.
heterosexual elves
This is hilarious!
P.S. I'll leave Morni's post about elves, but that doesn't mean we should start an ugly argument.

There isn't any argument here, and there won't be any.) There's no reason for it.)
however, name me at least one adequate character from there, including the gods

Added 23 minutes later Found something interesting: 467-504 Orcish uprisings in the Seven Cities and the Falcon Empire (the events of the fifth part take place in 969) Therefore, judging by the chronology of Ashan, at the time of the game, the mages will have serious problems with the orcs. Beastmen do not yet exist (they are created in 512). From this, one can make assumptions about the necromantic campaign, and orcs will probably be in the game, although there is a high chance that they will only be neutral.
Okay. I'll write another treatise in which I'll reveal why I don't like elves.
Elves are jerks.
<...>
For all the reasons listed above, I hate elves and consider them jerks, as stated in the title.
M-yes :eek:. Impressive. But I want to note that the Ashan elves only have a small part of the shortcomings you listed. So they are quite justified in their existence :). And in general, I find it strange to hate a fictional race. But let's leave that aside. You just went too far with the killing of children ;). But otherwise, you are right. In all worlds, elves are the highest and wisest race.
And still, judging by the icon, the fourth race will be elves. And mages and orcs should appear, but in an expansion. It would be interesting to find out about the fifth "very new" race in the original game :).

In the upcoming expansion pack, probably two races will appear at once. First, mages, and second, High Elves.

The word "наверно" means "probably" or "maybe," indicating a supposition. By the way, I think so too, but it seems to me that mages and orcs (or dwarves) will appear. It's still too early for the Tribes of the East.
The article is certainly interesting, but killing children is just too much. If you look at the 5th installment, the elves remind me of some kind of peasant humanoids; in Dungeon, the elves turned out to be cool, and I especially liked the ones dancing at night.

That's what I meant. It's possible to add 2 races at once in the first expansion, and then add one at a time. Perhaps mages and orcs, but definitely not dwarves. By the way, we still have to survive until the expansion...

Maybe there will be just one expansion. Who knows. But they have a lot to add. They seem to have gotten lazy: only five factions, and even one of them is completely new. What about the others? Something is wrong; they need to be brought back.

At least 2, if the game sells well, they will create them. And what's so bad about that? At least all these factions will be well-balanced, and it will be easier to tell the story (I mean the events 400 years before Heroes 5).

There was one expansion for "Heroes 4". I don't believe it was unpopular :p.
The more races, the better. Variety. In "Heroes 5", they easily created six excellent campaigns with an interesting plot for each of the races. What's wrong with "Heroes 6"? And if the developers don't bring back at least seven races from "Heroes 5", the fans will tear them apart :):p!

I think there were 2, Whirlwinds and The Coming Storm.;) No one is saying that 6 is worse than 5. It's better to have all 8 :), but let's not have gnomes if they're going to be like in Heroes 5)))

There was only one expansion for "Heroes IV". It's hard to believe it was unpopular.
Actually, there were two: "The Gathering Storm" and "Warlords of the Wastelands".
And they'll bring back the races. If you're so attached to these Faceless Ones, I think they'll just be the main race for Dungeon instead of the Dark Elves.
Actually, there are two. The upcoming storm and Whirlwinds of War.
And they will return the races for balance. If you are so attached to these Faceless Ones, then it seems to me that they will simply be the main race of Dungeon instead of the Titans.
I already said that, and there is also an unofficial add-on called Equilibrium, which greatly improved the balance.
It's better to have Titans with Faceless Ones in the elite.
