Awake and sing, Sir Arandor, awake and sing. The time has come...
Arandor awoke in some warm puddle, his clothes were soaked, his body ached from a hard impact on the ground, and stars still danced in his eyes. Looking around, he found himself at the foot of a cascading waterfall, and he had no recollection of any waterfall being nearby. Could it be?..
Arandor shook his head vigorously, trying to dispel the confusion. He took a deep breath, jumped in place, and, leaning on the trees, walked forward.
Suddenly, he stumbled upon a strange stump from which a rough, short sword protruded. After a little effort, he pulled it out, and at that moment, he thought he heard a deep bass string sound. Arandor panicked and looked around, but saw nothing. The acquired sword looked very strange, with a red handle and part of the blade.
Arandor suddenly felt a surge of strength and walked forward with more energy, when a familiar rustling sound reached him.
From all sides, he was surrounded by zombies of the Order. Without hesitation, the horde rushed at Arandor.
The dirty zombies were easily cut down by the sword that darted in all directions, the heads and other limbs of the zombies flew in all directions, black blood and decay covered the grass, covered Arandor's clothes, face, and hands, only the strange sword remained clean.
After the messenger of light dealt with the zombies, three warriors of the Order emerged from behind the trees.
- You won't escape,- said one.
- I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU, YOU SCUM! PATHETIC DARK CREATURES!!!
With these words, Arandor rushed at the enemies. Rusty blades flashed, a screeching sound was heard, and curses were uttered. Suddenly, a bright light flashed, and the warriors of the Order dropped their weapons from the unbearable pain in their eyes. Taking advantage of this, Arandor plunged the sword into the chest of one, then slashed the neck of another, and beat the third.
Blood boiled in his body, and adrenaline was ready to burst out.
From the forest behind, a noise was heard, strange, ticking, and rattling.
