It’s not that I’m upset or concerned, not at all. I’m just curious. As Vic says, it’s useful to “model the consciousness that is different from your own,” so I decided to ask the community. I spent two years managing the ranking on the Portal, and now I’m monitoring the reports on my website with automatic accounting. Why does it happen that an unconfirmed game remains listed for a month or even longer?

Okay, there are people looking at the saves, searching for violations of the rules, and I think that's also normal (so that they don't immediately rush to confirm). Ideally, provide a link to the report, and within 2-3 days, review the saves (if time is short) and confirm. No later than that. But just not confirming without any reason... I don't understand.

I voted for the first option; as soon as I have the opportunity, I will write/confirm the report. If the opponent doesn't confirm within a short time, I try to remind them or send a link. However, if there's still no response after that, I stop communicating. This doesn't affect my preferences, as I don't play often and usually prefer to play only 1-2 games (selection) with an opponent. However, there are players I've played with more often: Uran, Napalm, Sem_56, logistik. And 3 players I've played with 5 or more times: Izgoy767, Wlk777, Redwhait. In principle, we could add a rule: reports (without confirmation) are counted if there's an ICQ log showing a reminder to the opponent and no response within a week. The nickname of such a player would be added to a list of "inactive players." P.S. Dream knows that I've encountered such "inactive" players on the portal, on HW, and on Metr:Dland.

I confirm the games; sometimes, even when losing before the winner, I still write a report! In general, there are practically no problems with unconfirmed games in the second installment...

I saw it somewhere, but I don't remember where (but I think many will understand what I mean). There was a very nice confirmation system – everything is done automatically, in a very convenient format, and the results of the games are instantly entered into the rating after confirmation, which is also very good. Moderators don't have to sit up all night and manually enter all this into the database, and a person with unconfirmed reports automatically loses the ability to submit new ones. In my opinion, you can't come up with anything better. Why not introduce the same system here?
