Because time has passed. In the virtual world, this is a significant period. Even for murder, they don't give a life sentence. I believe that you shouldn't condemn a person, even if they were guilty.

I agree, I'm not going to play with cheaters, and I don't care if they were, are, or will be. I don't consider them to be normal players at all. Let AK decide what he wants, but if I end up in a tournament with these guys, I won't play, 100%, I'm telling you right away.

Dirty_Player - Kostyan, I'm almost a lawyer myself, and I agree that amnesty should definitely be granted. But the data about the conviction is available in law enforcement agencies, right? So why remove the mark? Let him play with it. And about the Tournaments, I said I won't play, not because I want to win (I'm not skilled enough for that yet), but simply because I don't enjoy playing with people who resort to such a despicable tactic as cheating. If AK made a mistake back then, which I doubt, may the Archangel forgive them. Loi - Valer, of course, there should be an opportunity to correct one's mistakes, but not everyone will be willing to accommodate such a person, and these people will also be right, in my opinion. Because whether he cheated for fun or not, I don't know, but he clearly wasn't thinking about his opponents at that moment. So why should they (his opponents) now think about him and go out of their way to accommodate him? In my opinion, not every mistake (sin) can or should be forgiven.

Finally, I was able to formulate my opinion =). In the case of the Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes competition, someone definitely made a mistake. Either the Arbitration Committee (I still support their decision) or Vitaly himself (if he cheated, he should admit it, and he will definitely be forgiven). Until one of them admits their mistake, I think it is absolutely pointless for me to vote for any option. That's all from me.

In general, discussing anything here without Vitalik's post, in which he expresses his opinion on the matter, is nothing more than old women gossiping on a bench. Perhaps someone is waiting for him to admit his mistakes and repent, or maybe he will once again declare that he has always played fairly, or maybe he doesn't even intend to change his "style" of online play, which he has been accused of, and you are just discussing it here? Thank you very much to the author of the thread. I learned about this topic recently, and it's cool that you still remember my nickname. I liked Ayman's position; I respect it, as I used to be the same. Indeed, what's the point of playing if you don't believe – it just spoils the mood.
You write interestingly – it's like you need to repent, saying that you understand, maybe you'll forgive… but it's too late, nothing is needed anymore, everything has burned out in my soul. When there were disputes on the portal, I thought, "Well, why are you so blind? You don't even see the basic logic that a player who knows the map wouldn't play like that, etc." I was worried, I wanted to grab my opponents by the collar, suggest that I take a lie detector test, and everything would fall into place… But then, something burned out inside. The game was everything to me; I played for my soul, taught others, explained everything, kept 7 GB of saves, and it turned out that it's all useless… now I understand better those whom I judged during the 4 years of running tournaments on the portal. I'm sure many of them played normally, but they were not understood. It turns out that sometimes you can't prove anything in Heroes. The only salvation is streaming, but even then, you can come up with a way to spoil the game.
So, forget about suspicions and just play, enjoy the game.

Might & Magic: Heroes Online is, to put it mildly, nonsense. Everyone decides for themselves who they want to play with. Might & Magic: Heroes Online should be removed, and people should decide for themselves whether they want to play with Vitalik.

In many ways, Vitalik has proven himself, as I see it. He played in a way that everyone could see, and he achieved certain successes. Everyone said that winning the championship in the club is a good test, and I think he passed it.

I don't know about others, but I would play with him.

The fact that Vitalik can play without cheats is something no one ever doubted. He has proven something else – his dedication to the game, which, frankly, I find admirable.

And, as far as I know, no one prohibits playing in the ranked season, even with the "Clash of Heroes" ruleset, if there are people who want to.

I read a little about this on a neighboring resource, and I'm almost certain that there was an error with the anti-cheat system before anyone started calling it cheating. Before saying "cheat," you need to prove it definitively, not just react automatically to something that seemed suspicious.

I think it would be more appropriate and tactful to close the topic – there’s no need to give people another reason to stir up trouble… If anyone wants to express their opinion, there’s a poll for that (I would have personally made the topic closed from the beginning, so that only the poll would be available).
Of course, if the topic author expresses a desire, I’ll open it without any problems.
