There are plenty of Australopithecines and Pithecanthropus in every museum. Stone tools, primitive culture, artificial and natural selection – all of this proves that humans did indeed evolve.
On the other hand, in many religions, as far as I remember, the creation of humanity is described very similarly. I believe that God is one for all, but before each people, he appears in a form that is accessible and understandable specifically to that people.
It is quite possible that humanity as a biological species evolved independently, but reason was given to us from above.
But still, I tend to believe in the evolutionary version, and strongly so. It is closer to me. At least it has evidence, and I try not to accept anything on faith.
