The second point – what is Stinger doing in the tournament? :)

He already qualified for the finals through the Michurinsk quota. He could have given a chance to others, like Preds.

Sanek, Preds was also in Michurinsk and also qualified :D
But I heard that Artem (Stinger) said that he wouldn't take a spot away from the Michurinsk players (i.e., he would give up the spot he won there) and would compete in Moscow.

Yesterday. Impressions from the outside.

A club in downtown Moscow, near the metro station. A small, quite cozy space. From a photographer's point of view – very dark and scary... stuffy.
The tables are close to each other in two rows, with players sitting two at a table. The aisle between the rows is narrow; you can’t pass through it together.

Quite an interesting contrast between what seems to be the usual crowd (average middle school age) and our "fathers."

I don't know how to play Heroes, but I wasn't bored:smile20:

1st game

after all the restarts, I took my picks with terrible generations and ended up in a predictable situation :(
external dwelling of Medusas and 3 secondary zones where 4 out of 6 guards were shooters.
On the first turn I took Rampart and the external Medusa dwelling with a portal in Rampart, Elves, and that's it — on the second turn there was Castle, I went into the treasure zone underground, found a Shield +4 all, guards 50-99 ogre magi, army: 25 ogre magi, 17 Elves, 65 Troglodytes, and a few Harpies — I took a risk, but there were too many of them, 70+ — I came out with 7 Medusas and decided not to continue...

We agreed on restarts for 2 days total, and I took it right on the 2nd one because of GO up to 9 Fairy Dragons :(
We started — from the good stuff I found 3 cans (one mini can I cleared on the first turn), the other 3/4 external Efreeti dwelling, Turis got Earth and there's a Dragon Utopia behind the wood.
With buildings, it went 1-7 in the Citadel without dogs.
At the beginning of the second week, I attacked 18 Cyclopes — with morale they killed an Efreet and a Devil, then a Sкупка and a 3-can (I checked like a fool)
then another 3-can on the way to the Dragon Utopia — there I lost everyone except 7 Angels and Gogs which I left with the fool.
Minimum loot gave me Boots of Speed + Boots of Resistance and Shackles — I go to GO — the opponent's stats are already insane — GO bears and Devils — I think about attacking the bears, and there might be a chance to get past the bears — 37 of them, my army is 7 Angels, 2 Gnolls, 28+ a few Gogs — I barely handled the bears, had little mana — came out with 4 Angels but couldn't get through — in the end, it would have taken too much time to break through with mana, so I decided not to continue.

Thanks for the games — unlucky with generations so far, but everything is interesting, the atmosphere is super, waiting for the next opponent :)

I'm just curious how it happened that in the second round, two of the main favorites (Marcon and Stinger) played against each other? Is it pure chance (which I highly doubt), a genuine wish of the players, or did the organizers "tactfully arrange" it?

Pit for LM (red, Tower, Aine, Jabarkas) def Keba (blue, Castle, Valeska, Valeska), 2sm4d(3), 144.
The scribbling was very uneven and at first gave bad layouts; I chose all restarts. Ended up on a big central respawn. No caches (except gargoyles), but lots of gold. In the first week I broke through to a swamp secondary. On the respawn - 2 beehives. There are 2 more secondaries, and the roads are fast - excellent. Built a naga and a castle.
On day 121 I upgrade nagas, buy them out, take a beehive for 8 wyverns. Day 122 - barbarian secondary and 4 more wyverns; on guard duty I clumsily lost a naga. Next I run into the dungeon. There turned out to be a road through a treasury. Nothing particularly tasty there, so I have to kill 100+ crusaders for a Pandora's Box. Lost 3 wyverns and over half the mages, but got 15000 gold. This allowed me to build wyverns and a citadel in the swamp. Nearby I took a trinket +3+3 for morale and luck. By the end of the week I entered the second underground treasury.
At the start of the third week I took a Naga Bank for 4 nagas there, a Pandora's Box for all water without wisdom, a beehive for 6 wyverns. Next, for nearly the maximum stack of angels, they gave a helm +3 for knowledge and the Titan's sword. Also took a nearby beehive - +4 wyverns. There are 2 Dragon Utopias, but nothing to take them with yet. I portal back home. I take a Pandora's Box for 20 Pit Fiends in the first treasury, and level up to expert tactics. Now I can go for the utopias. I take the last secondary, but there's nothing interesting there. On day 136 the first utopia falls - there's a Titan's cuirass and the Speaker's hat. Nearby I took a shield +6 and a mini Naga Bank. On day 141 I take another utopia - there's a helm +6 all, the Orichalcum, the Tome of Air, and a bag of gold. I go on the attack; by day 144 I kill almost all the opponent's heroes and capture all their cities. Valeska was unlucky with the utopias, her stats are low, and there's nowhere to go; the opponent surrenders.
