Well, how can you say they "sold out"? They just moved... IMHO, in a field like computer game development, there's no place for such prejudices as a developer moving.

Why all this pessimism right away? Logically, moving "there" only indicates the company's growth. It's like an "inevitable process of growth." Moreover, the fact that the "head" of the company will be "there" doesn't mean that the "body" remaining here will work worse... they don't make machines... or tanks... IMHO, this is not a shock at all....

I think this was known for quite some time. They simply offered a favorable deal regarding the development of console games, like for Xbox and possibly PlayStation. As the company president stated at the time: "We are not going to abandon Russian PC gamers, and the fact that we were offered a good deal only speaks to the company's growth and the improved quality of our games" (this is not a direct quote, but rather the main idea). Moreover, the president of Nival wrote this message while seemingly in the capital of China... In general, Nival has long been interacting with the whole world, and this is no secret. So, everything is fine.
