yes, sometimes the attacks are simply amazing!!! :))) for example, the Imps of the Inferno faction. (don't think that I don't respect the Inferno faction).
I like the animations of: imps and lesser demons, mages and archmages (it's fun), dryads (it's beautiful), titans (it's just awesome!), gremlins, death messengers, liches, all dragons, skeleton archers (it's amusing how they adjust their hats), ghosts (it's unusual), djinns (it's very interesting), the ability animation of Rakshasa Rajahs, furies (I love that heel-clicking sound), shadow lords (wow =)), minotaurs (with what force they slam their axes into the victim, mmm), the attack animations of earth and fire elementals, the root-casting and attack animations of ents in that position.
I like the spell animations of: plague, ice strike, ring of cold, meteor shower, earth shock, and armageddon (it's a masterpiece here).
I don't like the animations of: ents' movement (it's somehow unrealistic), cerberuses (why are they shaking their heads?), air elementals (they overdid it 8)), phoenixes (I don't think that such a "powerful" attack can deal so much damage).
I don't like the spell effects of: prayer and inspiration (I still remember the beautiful animation and sound effects of prayer from the fourth game; by the way, in terms of spell sound effects and the spells themselves, it's the best game in the series 8)).
That's it. =)
In the fifth installment, the animation is much better =). However, let's analyze the function of animations in the last three parts:
Part 3: only to show that a warrior is attacking another warrior. Simple and clear, without any frills. Many people like this.
Part 4: the same + humor. Juggling a ghost's head or, for example, scratching the bald head of the heroine of Might under a wig - it's fun, amusing, and lightens the mood.
Part 5: the same + aesthetic pleasure (at least initially). Many memorable animations.
Yes, the animation in the fifth game is really beautiful. However, I still don't understand how a peasant could kill a skeleton with his pitchfork by stabbing it under the ribs, and how a single archangel could destroy 10 skeletons with a single strike, but these are just minor details.
