I like the idea of involving foreigners and holding a round-robin team tournament. Honestly, MP in the format it was last year isn't as motivating anymore. For some reason, we’ve become quite friendly with Bai and Portal :smile10:, and it’s hard to divide into “us” and “them.” Look at Alex; he played Hv against Chinese players. Volodymyr and Cobra are running our tournaments. Paladin, Forrest, and Vik also don’t just drop by for Hv. HP is practically family. In general, I think we need fresh blood:smile24:
In total, I counted 6 interportals in Hv history. Hv-HP in summer 08, Hv-Bai, Hv-HP in December 08, Lithuania, China, and Samurai organized a fan interportal in April – heroes.by against all of Runet (Portal, World, WCL) /topic/5929/
And I am the only one who participated in all MPs. As a veteran, I ask for a spot on the team:smile13:
Of course, there will be many organizational difficulties. I am sure that Sticky will help; he does well with foreigners. And no one doubts Eric’s organizational skills.
You think involving foreigners is a good idea? I highly doubt it.... With the current state of affairs, 90% that the tournament will not be finished. Let's first sort things out among ourselves? HW, HP, HB, and possibly HL if they find a team. We have plenty of our own spectacles and bickering... foreigners definitely should not be involved! IMHO!
Well, why not, the presence of foreigners sometimes acts as a deterrent — in a match against the Chinese, for instance, people bickered a bit among themselves, but they didn't particularly dump on them. What's the point of cursing them out if an online translator still can't convey the full richness of the Russian lexicon.:D
I have connections with Poles... when it comes to the main point, I'll contact them... I also saw something about strong Bulgarians somewhere. And I know English - please include me on the team with Pit and LeBron - I'll be the third.
P.S. What I like about playing with foreigners is that they don't play just for the result; they somehow naturally emphasize that they wouldn't cheat or even think about it because of a game. Therefore, I would like the next tournament to also have a draw (like with China).

Definitely, teams of 5 people maximum. It would be great to involve WCL and initially organize matches for four players. And then, if everything works out, we can make more global plans for the next time, including Chinese, Black, and Papua players, etc. We could organize something like a world championship.
Сейчас балуюсь этим https://vcmi.eu/download/ За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того
What kind of connections?:D By the way, they agree to everything, just not to play with the Germans! We were recently banned there for cheating! :smile52:
So, here are my thoughts on the tournament:
1) Don't include Chinese players. Simply because there are connection issues and time constraints for playing. Playing a duel with them with extended time limits is possible, but in a multi-sided tournament, matches with them will lead to delays.
2) The tournament format is a round-robin. That is, each team plays every other team.
The scoring system is as follows: 2 points for a general victory, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
In the event of a tie, the results of individual matches are counted using the same scheme.
3) Each team defines its own rules. That is, the game version, templates, additional rules, etc.
In a match between teams, 4 games are played according to one set of rules and 4 games according to another.
4) The team roster can be announced, or it can be kept secret – any player from a specific team can play in each individual game.
The main thing is that there should be no games where one player plays for different teams, and also no repetitions – two games with the same player in one match.
5) Each team appoints a coordinator who ensures communication with the players and coordinates the roster for the match.
6) In the event of controversial situations, the final decision is made by a direct vote among the coordinators. As I understand it, there will be an odd number of teams – 5.
If you only need one additional resource, then WCL would be a good choice; they have many skilled players. Besides, they have already offered to play a rematch against Bai several times. Their leader is SAG, who is well-known to all of us.
I will do everything I can, and the League will do everything it can.
We discussed the issue in instant messaging and came to a conclusion. Perhaps the ideal option is 5 teams (Bai, Portal, World, League, WCL). This is ideal because the coordinators from each resource speak the same language, meaning they will always be able to reach an agreement. Dust and Neo fully supported the idea; Vik will be the coordinator for Bai. I don't see SAG online; if anyone has contact with him, please talk to him. Of course, if Sticky agrees to help me, I will be grateful.
Definitely, such an inter-portal event would allow us to assemble a super team, and it would also provide an incentive for everyone to play. 4 rounds, which would take about 2 months.
Regarding the team composition. Tanya suggested an excellent idea: an even number of participants, with 50% playing according to their own rules (templates) and 50% playing according to others' rules. The only thing left to decide is the number of players per team. I think 6 or 8 would be good. Bai, Portal, and World can easily gather that many, and they have gathered even more in the past. The League can also easily gather 8 people from the old participants of the great HL forum; just dig around on Bai and remember more players from St. Petersburg.
The question is about the foreigners: can they gather 8 people who are capable of playing in the tournament for a long time and with discipline (4 matches is a decent amount for a tournament)? But they should be able to gather at least 6 players in principle.
When SAG responds, many things will become clearer. Nevertheless, I will start working on the preparation; soon I will organize a poll among the players so that they can name the 10 best players from our resource, those who consider World to be their home forum. From them, we will form the main team and a reserve team.
Dungeon can also easily gather 8 people from the old participants of the great HL forum; just dig around on Bay and remember more people from St. Petersburg.
I don't understand why you would gather a team from, let's just say, a dead resource. It will just result in two teams from Bay. You might as well gather a team from Chaos. +1 team means that the tournament will take a quarter more time than with 4 teams.
Of course, if Sticky agrees to help me, I will be grateful.
Great decision! There will be SoD, TE, and TE-lite... maybe even Heroes 2 :D
I suggest adding turbo HU and SnG 6max turbo to the list of versions :)
