What's so cool about the magic? The same animation for ten spells?

It's simply original in its execution! An interesting addition is the upgrade system and the caravan structures! There hasn't been anything like that in Heroes before... and a shooter is completely out of place! And the animations aren't uniform!

I liked the fourth game because the heroes could act independently; if you wanted, you could gather up to six of them in one army. But in the third and fifth games, heroes without an army are useless. In the fourth game, a well-developed hero could fight a dragon alone (dragon arenas). It was also good that the troops matured every day; you just needed the money. However, in the fifth game, construction doesn't require as much money.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV is truly a treasure trove of good ideas. I'm annoyed by the castle building system. But the game maps are stunningly beautiful. Call me a pervert, but I think the fourth installment is better than the fifth. I won't play the fifth one until they add snow to the Academy. By the way, about the heroes – my friend took a castle with a bunch of dragons at a relatively low level (around level 10, I think).

In the 4th game, all the units were drawn – it was great. Just look at the dragons! Nightmares and unicorns – their muscles are so well-defined, they look alive. But in the 5th game, the unicorns are cartoonish, like little fillies.

I agree, fifthly, they last much longer!

For me, Heroes 4 is a three-in-one. It's my favorite game in the series, undoubtedly a revolution (and a positive one at that), and for me, it's also an evolution.
