I usually have one really strong hero! Almost always with a focus on magic! The exceptions are Gunnar and Kirr! I always take Logistics and Ballistics, plus one or two schools of magic! The other heroes just hang around near the castles and guard them!

I like Crag Hack. As they say, there's no defense against brute force! :-)

In the final battle, the hero's speed will be a very weak bonus, practically a useless ability. But at the beginning, it's definitely useful. So, fast heroes are only needed for initial development and resource gathering, as well as for delivering reinforcements to the main hero. :)

We'll catch these fast heroes from around corners or in dead ends. :

It's almost impossible to corner such a hero... And their high speed indicates that they will gather more useful items and level up more during a turn!
