*Adjusting my glasses and checking my Mauser* Don't get it wrong, comrade, I'm not a language purist. Using "lm-speak" in small doses can even be beneficial. I'd like you to remember, I'm GN. That's more important :-)
"Мы не герои. Мы сильны. Мы упрямы. Мы стараемся соблюдать условия контракта. Но мы не умираем за проигравших." Костоправ
"Мы не поклонники честной игры, если ее можно избежать. Девиз Отряда – максимальная эффективность при минимальном риске." Костоправ
I don't remember the exact wording, but it was something like, "if you strongly desire something, by the time you get it, you might not need it anymore." Something along those lines.
So, I wanted to play the second Knights of the Old Republic for so long, and... now that I have it, now that I've launched it (and, of course, it runs without any glitches), after fifteen minutes of playing, I turned it off, not getting any enjoyment from it, and haven't turned it on since.
By the way, I expected more from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I didn't like it, just like I didn't like Neverwinter Nights. %)
(Generally, they are good games, but still...)
P.S. I've already finished the fourth GTA. If we're talking about difficulty, out of all the ones I've played (GTA 3, GTA VC, GTA SA), this one is the easiest. And the most difficult is probably San Andreas. Just remember the mission where you have to jump from one plane to another.
I like the first Heroes of Might and Magic more, but the graphics in the second one are better. And there are fewer people, especially in the taverns.

The plot, the dialogues, and as a result, the overall interest in the game. Yes, there are a couple of good moments, but no more. For a game of this size (you have to run around a lot in the locations and kill mobs, which is 85% of the game), that's not enough.
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
in my opinion, the world-building is better in it than in the second game. But in the second game, there are more details, more possibilities, and less linearity.
and I only played the second one in BG too (Shadows of Amn...). I couldn't launch Throne of Bhaal for some reason, maybe it was just a patch, I don't know.
There was also the first one, but it kept crashing on me.
