I didn't go through all the pages, but has anyone noticed that the legendary heroes are now damaged? Fai'den's Ruthless Arrows don't work, Isabel can't cast her spell before battle, you can't hide in the Sanctuary, and Draconic Utopia is inactive. Moreover, on all maps, gold mines don't generate income!!!!!
I haven't noticed any significant difference in battles and enemy actions; they are still as dumb as before. It's really more interesting to play against a human or against computers in an alliance.

I haven't played the campaign on 3.1, so I can't say anything about the unique heroes, but the standard overpowered Deleeb, etc., have indeed been nerfed, but not with the release of the patch – it was earlier... As for utopias, sanctuaries, and gold mines, I don't understand; everything works normally for me...
And you're unfairly criticizing the AI; it may not be smarter, but it has become more cunning and unconventional in its moves.

I'm not talking about the campaign; I noticed it specifically in multiplayer. There are maps with active legendary heroes. I happened to notice the mines – you capture a mine and check the income, and it remains the same as it was, and if you capture an abandoned mine that yields 1000, it's fine; it yields and displays the income. Regarding the Sanctuary – you hover over it, and it's fine, it's identified, but when you try to enter, it simply doesn't let you, and it often displays a message saying that the structure in front of you is inactive. I thought it was a bug specific to a particular map, but no, it's the same everywhere I've played. Regarding Utopia, it says "inactive structure."

I'm not talking about the campaign, I'm talking about the multiplayer.

I suspect you have a pirated version or some kind of mod, although patch 3.1 cannot be installed on a pirated version:confused:

then it’s really strange, I don’t have a pirated copy, there are no mods at all, I suspected that the issue was with custom maps, I cleared them, reinstalled everything from scratch, applied the patch, and the same bug still occurs.

I installed patch 3.1, but the game still shows version 3.0, and because of this, the version is not compatible with anyone online. What can be done about this? Please advise if anyone knows.

And another question... If I try to start a game with version 3.0, it shows error 0.2.0. I read previous threads about this, but I haven't downloaded any maps from anywhere.

I have Vista, I know it's not great, but could this be the reason?

I had a similar issue, but it was quite a while ago, so I can't say for sure what helped back then. I installed patch 1.6 on version 1.5, the installation went smoothly, but the game still showed version 1.5. Then I did the following: I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and after that, I installed all the patches in order – that's what helped me back then.

If only I could place them all correctly... And what if it doesn't work out, I'll get tired of replaying everything again...

Only one patch – 3.1 – needs to be installed for the latest expansion, so there shouldn’t be any major difficulties. It’s possible that it wasn’t installed correctly for some reason, which is why it’s not displaying properly. As for walkthroughs, you can ask for a save file for any mission in the corresponding forum threads. Good luck! :)

Maybe you have a pirated version of the game? Download the original, it installs without any problems...
