Chaos is ineffective if the hero has 100% or almost 100% immunity.

Why is that? If you turn the hero into a Chaos Guildmaster, it's not difficult to defeat even heroes with high resistance :)
Also, let's not forget about spells like Cat's Reflexes and Misfortune, which can be very effective against monsters.

Cataclysm – yes... probably my favorite spell from the Dungeon faction...

Life is a rather weak spell, perhaps even the weakest. It should only be used in conjunction with combat!

I voted for the Cardinal. If you fully upgrade the Resurrect skill and the Cardinal hero, and also equip him with the Amulet of Life and the Staff of St. Ranana (or something like that), he will resurrect almost 100% of the creatures.

But a fighter hero with upgraded life magic is incredibly powerful... I've created one myself. :)
I don't know how long it would take to defeat him...

I prefer to choose a class individually for each opponent. 1) Against Necropolis – Paladin. 2) Against Dungeon – monk in red pants (so that the blood on the clothes is not visible, and the army does not grieve. Tip: don't make the monk in brown pants, they might misunderstand :-) ). And so on.

Paladin! First of all, the Mage has at least some defense, and can also shoot an arrow if needed! And life has always been the opposite of death, so protection won't hurt! :D :cool:

Besides, a paladin can heal himself, plus he has various buffs and regeneration spells, etc.

I agree with HiddenHorror. This needs to be approached individually, depending on the opponent. And in general, life is unique precisely because of this. In all other schools, I have my own consistent preference. Although the scheme is the same: first, I level up two magic skills, and then the third – to become an archmage.

I used to like playing with mages, but then I realized that they are easier to level up, and they fight well too! The only downside is that a mage's strength is directly proportional to the size of their army. But when a mage isn't afraid of arrows, magic, or swords, and even when their mana runs out, they can still shoot! :D :cool:

I chose Dark Priest – a dark priest (vampiric melee attacker) – and I think that says it all... the coolest unit when combined with Life and Death... AH!!!... And how cool does "Dark Priest" sound?
