For everyone who hasn't made a final decision yet, please gather your thoughts and decide in the next couple of days. If the reason for not submitting your application is a lack of time for the game, that's not a problem; the schedule won't exceed 1-1.5 games per week.
Maybe build markets, and money can be transferred to 112 once you take the Castle. Then you could either allow exchanging excess resources for money, or state in the rules that it is not allowed.
Maybe build markets, and money can be transferred to 112 once you take the castle. Then we could either allow exchanging excess resources for money, or state in the rules that it's forbidden. You mean manually editing the map? I actually like the idea; it should increase interest in the game. We should try it out to see how it works and if there are any downsides.
P/S I plan to start this evening
Added 4 hours 9 minutes later We've waited long enough, I think we can start :)
Regulations. 2 groups of 7 participants; you will play 2 games against each (not best-of-two, but 2 matches). The top four in the group advance to the playoffs. The winner of Group A will play the 4th place of Group B, 2nd of Group A vs 3rd of Group B, and so on. For every victory in the tournament table, 1 point is added; for a draw + 0.5 points. For technical wins, a "+" will be awarded, where "+" is less than 1 point but more than 0.5 points.
Group stage games last until 13.09.2009, then we play the playoffs. In the first playoff stage (quarter-finals), we play best-of-two. In the second (semi-finals) - best-of-three. The final will be played in a series best-of-four, after which the winner will be announced.
In one of the two matches you play as red, and in the second as blue. Decide the order yourselves.
That seems to be everything for the regulations; if I forgot something, just ask. If any questions arise and I'm not around - contact KostyaN, he is helping me with the organization.
Now the rules:
Games are played on the SoD version; by mutual consent, you may play TE!
1. Starting bonus when choosing castles and generating the map - resource. 2. The battle takes place in a teleport. Red dives into the teleport and stays there. Blue attacks. 3. The battle must start by 117 inclusive. If someone fails to make it – loss! 4. Capturing castles on the first day of the game is forbidden. 5. In a stalemate situation, troops go to fight
Everything here is clear and remains as is.
Regarding the discussed points, I gather not many people care much, so here is how I've decided:
1. Skeleton Transformer. Forbidden, but by mutual consent - can be used.
2. Disconnects. Basically, what Wic said:
Take a screenshot and describe the situation at the moment of disconnect. If the result is not obvious, then remove killed troops and place the rest in positions according to the screenshot. Then continue fighting, ensuring that no more mana is spent than was remaining at the moment of disconnect.
I don't know the best way to resolve a potentially arising situation.
3. Choosing castles. For now, we leave the "strike-out" method; here is how it works: A list of races is written for each player (totaling 2*9=18 castles). After that, players take turns crossing them out until two uncrossed ones remain in each list - those will be played. In doing so, you can cross out "bad" races from your own list as well as "good" ones from the opponent's list. The strike-out sequence is: 1-2...-2-1. The player who will play red starts crossing out; blue attacks.
If the betting system proves itself (preferably if someone other than just me tests it :) ) - I think we'll change this rule later.
That's all for now, later I'll move everything to a second post in a nice format :)
I haven't played TC3 in a while, I'm waiting for opponents in the group and just strong players from 10 AM to 6 PM Moscow time (on weekdays). At this time, the probability of me disconnecting is almost zero. 442018688
Took the offensive defense, earth, water. Full buyout without surrender, 15000 with pegasuses. The opponent recklessly moved to my side, blinding the cows. I responded with a flash. In the second round, I healed, and the cows carried away 5 archers. GG
Forrest (conflux, castle) def geroj (humans, castle) TK3 Bers took it. Offensive defense, fire. In the first round, the bears resisted the bers. But then he cursed, and the advantage became clear. The bears raged, and the psychics hit multiple times, which gave the victory. GG Thank you for the games. 2-0
РП (Реальное папство!) *Автосейвы не беру и не даю.
I know that the teams have already been formed, so I'm not really aiming for anything specific, I just want to inform the organizer that I would be happy to replace anyone if there's a reason to.
Thank you all in advance, I'm ready to be on standby :smile01:
2AYMAN: I think the organizer will make concessions if another participant registers. Therefore, I ask that you register me for the tournament, but only if it's possible to be in group A. I have a personal interest there: smile51:
Dirty_Player, thank you for your support. I wasn't mistaken; there are not only tough fighters on World of Xeen, but also kind people who are always willing to help. Honestly, it's really nice that there's such a friendly atmosphere on World of Xeen, so I urge everyone to cherish it:smile16:
If there's a lot of irrelevant chatter or off-topic discussion, please excuse me; what can you expect from a newbie?
