Amaranth proved to be the most active and lucky – he managed to strike the poor Striped creature three times before the guards drove him and the other residents away.
As for the fate of the Striped creature, it was beheaded at sunset by royal decree.

Castle of Nightmares. Part 4

The roosters had long since crowed, announcing the arrival of a new day, when the herald reappeared on the stage.
