and Archdevils are expensive! Monsters and Phoenixes will be better!
Ehhh. And I'm saying their cost wasn't taken into account. Only combat parameters... And as correctly pointed out, the Archdevil has retaliation and speed - that's enough, and I pitted them against Archmages and (I don't remember who else), and they easily won.
They couldn't win with the Archmage! I pitted them against each other several times, and they lost both times! Inferno is terrible!
There must have been a mistake, that's probably why Archangels are in first place, because they won against everyone... And Inferno is far from terrible, it's a decent faction...
Upgraded Imps can, for obvious reasons, significantly strengthen an army, especially if you gather them on the map and only upgrade them in the castle.
Demons (specifically, non-upgraded ones) combined with an equal number of Pit Lord units is a good combination.
Although, to be honest, I don't really like Inferno either.
Both are rather weak on their own, but Pit Lords have a great ability, although they are also the most expensive of all 5th-level units! And Demons can only win against Pegasi and Energy Elementals (although even then, it's only 5 of each)!
In principle, the topic is very well formulated: it's about what you PREFER to play. In this sense, it's about PERSONAL PREFERENCES, not the objective advantages/disadvantages of units and castles in general. In this sense, regarding Inferno, I can say the following: considering the abilities of upgraded imps, pit lords, sultan-efreets, the retaliatory strike of cerberuses and devils/archdevils, as well as the lightning bolt of magogs, the castle is quite strong, at least in terms of gameplay. However, personally, when Inferno appears in a random map, I'm not too happy: I personally prefer others.
I prefer the Tower, but you can win with any castle.
I like the Tower because:
a) It has powerful Sorceress heroes (Solmyr is unmatched).
b) It has an abundance of archers (especially Titans).
c) You can almost always build the Cloud Temple in the first week:
Gargoyles
Golems
Magic Tower
Guild of Mages
Djinn
Naga
Temple.
For beginners:
Clone Titans and shoot; the clone only dies when it takes damage:D
