I know many punks (friends, acquaintances) who can’t stand КиШ. In fact, all the punks I know don’t like КиШ. Their music lacks drive. The vocals are very ordinary. Their behavior? Like Left Behind, you know that band? Exactly the same. They had their first performance a week ago. From Russian rock, I listened to Slot. I really like them!

Russian rock is just… ridiculous. You have to dress in some kind of distinctive rags, shout obscenities, and, most importantly, beat yourself with your fist to show how cool you are and how much you fight against pop music. I’m especially tired of DDT, who sings songs that aren’t that far from pop. But honestly, right now, I can’t really name anything better than Bi-2. The Ukrainians have surpassed the Russians in every way. It’s much more pleasant to listen to the sophisticated VV than to the weirdos from Kino. There’s great punk (Stooges, MC5, Velvet Underground), but they don’t pose like that.

Okay, so you completely forgot about me. I also have arguments for everything.

I especially like how everyone cleverly attributes it to commercialism. I'll list what I think are truly commercial Russian rock and metal bands:
1) Aria, after "Chimera," is undoubtedly commercial.
2) Epidemia is commercial. Why? It's very simple.
a) They are produced by Aria Records.
b) Look at the difference between the first and second "Elven Manuscript," huh?
3) Slot, Amatori, Jane Eyre, Stigmata, Origami, you get the idea. It's even simpler here. Not-so-dumb guys with money realized that this is now fashionable and popular in the West, so they created something similar here.
Slot, by the way, had a great PR move by bringing in Dolnikova (the vocalist from the musicals "Metro" and "Notre Dame de Paris"). But she didn't like it and left.
4) Let all those who are reading this forgive me. 60% of folk music is commercial. It has simply flooded the Russian music market, following the same principle as in point 3 – people are eating it up. What could you say about it before? Melnitsa, Troll Gnet Yel, Kalinov Most (we won't touch them; they're the pioneers, good job).

Kish – commercial? Wake up, guys!!!! What are you talking about???? I don't see them churning out new albums in batches; on the contrary, they spend a long time in the studio perfecting each song. I don't understand why they bother you so much. Can you name a Western analogue for them??? They are very similar to buffoons, only singing with a smile about somewhat scary things. Regarding the lyrics. Yura, I don't believe you, I'm sorry. You won't be able to write such lyrics, and neither will I. So, the next time we go for a beer, you should have lyrics similar to theirs, and I'll write another verse on the theme of "no fear, no pain, I slept with a few girls," in the style of RAGE. (Think I'm kidding? Read the lyrics to "No Fear." It's true that in that song, a girl slept with four guys and wanted to run away, but one of them was quick, but that's not the point; it's about the primitiveness of their lyrics).

About the lyrics. My IMHO. Margarita Pushkina, Diana Arbenina, Svetlana Surganova, Zemfira, Garik Sukachev, Dmitry Borisenkov, Alexander Vasiliev, and Alexei Bulgakov are the ones who can write lyrics in Russia.


About plagiarism. Let's exclude "Probil Chas," "Svobodu," "Bespechnogo Angela," "Mashinu Smerti," and all the songs from the "Shtil" album. It was released as a collection of rarities and covers. So, it's not worth talking about what didn't happen.
There are only seven notes, but 33 letters. You have to come to terms with that. Of course, there are frankly terrible things, such as "Proschay, Norfolk" - "De Ja Vu," but I think it's solved simply. Listen to what you like more. For example, I like both very much.

About Aria without Kipelov. I'll rate the albums "Armageddon" and "Kreshchenie Ognem" as 7.5 and 8.5, respectively. These albums were recorded for the voice of Artur Berkut. All the songs were written exclusively for his hard, rough voice. I'll give "Armageddon" an 8.5 only for "Svet Byloy Lyubvi," otherwise, it would have been 10. IMHO, Berkut shouldn't be given lyrical songs to sing.
Oh yes. For the same reason, I lowered the rating for "Kreshchenie Ognem" because "Tam Vysoko" and "Patriot" didn't appeal to me. It seems like everything is harmonious, but I don't know... Something about them bothered me.
