I read on various websites about the history of this series: The main task of the "Dharma" company on the island was to test a time machine. And everything else, these bunkers, was just a distraction. The plane with them will crash on that island again, and everything will repeat from the beginning to the end. So, there's no need to wait for 2010.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
The 5th and, in fact, the 4th seasons are much worse than the first ones; this applies to both the plot and the atmosphere... Although, the plot is understandable – the writers' imagination is not limitless.
By the way, many fans of LOST rate each episode as "excellent."
I was browsing the comments, and it's worth noting that if a series is titled "Bad," they immediately start giving it negative ratings.
People, I am amazed by you. If you are shown a piece of crap with the inscription LOST, will you also admire it? The series has gone downhill.
Wow, Santa Barbara is getting a lot of attention... It's not LOST anymore, in my opinion. The atmosphere isn't the same as it was in the early seasons.
well, so I didn't watch the 5th one ( PS, they blew up on that ship)) I didn't watch any further, so I think he died) although maybe he's hanging out on the island with the others.
Hey, hey, let’s avoid spoilers, some people haven’t watched all the seasons yet! :)
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
Vikh, Sawyer will be with Juliette :) And Kate and Jack are constantly arguing. Aaron will be given to Claire's mother. Basically, it's like Santa Barbara, Pandora is right :D
I recently finished watching seasons 4 and 5 of the series. I must say, I was impressed. I had mentioned before that the series had changed for the worse, but now I tend to think otherwise. The latest seasons aren't very similar to the first, but the intrigue is still strong, and I really want to watch each episode after finishing the previous one. The plot has also been developed in an interesting way, with time travel and all that. Of course, the atmosphere isn't as mysterious as it was initially, but the series is also coming to an end.
Among the new characters, I really liked Daniel Faraday. He played the role of a scientist perfectly, with every little detail, from his clothes to his manner of speaking and his habits. I even felt like watching some other movies with this actor, although he hasn't played a physicist in anything else.
From the "old guard," I still admire Sawyer and Ben.
Ben, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting characters, and this is due to both the director's vision and the actor's performance. At certain moments, I wanted to hate him, and at other times, I wanted to trust him and even feel sorry for him. He's just an amazing villain. However, towards the end of season 5, he lost his edge and became a victim of manipulation, although before that, he had been manipulating people with incredible success.
Overall, I'm still happy with the series. I'm looking forward to the continuation.
P.S. By the way, I watched seasons 4 and 5 with the original audio (and Russian subtitles). Recently, I've developed a special passion for the original audio because our (and perhaps any other) actors have a bad habit of dubbing not quite as it is in the original. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse, but this is a thing. Therefore, if you want to hear everything exactly as it was intended by the filmmakers, I advise you to follow my example

I still admire Sawyer and Ben from the "old guard."
Ben and Sawyer are cool, but they've lost a bit of their "style," let's say. :) Sawyer, being a positive character but with negative traits (a cynical jerk :D), has turned into just an ordinary "good guy." And Ben, as Vikh rightly pointed out, has become a victim of manipulation. And he himself has fallen. He listens to some pathetic "smoker," and all he did was threaten to kill him :D
Therefore, if you want to hear everything exactly as the creators of the film intended, I advise you to follow my example.
All this is good, but if you're lying a few meters from the screen, it's... "a little" uncomfortable. :)
