Posts from Which faction do you like the most in Heroes of Might and Magic IV?
A Druid can summon a creature earlier than a Barbarian can kill a summoned one, and a Mage can do it thanks to Illusion... Although this is only good at higher levels...
against a druid, a Knight is good (Knight) and excels in ranged combat! But by level 10, a druid against a Barbarian... the outcome for the druid is dire!
Added after 43 seconds
and a Wizard at the same level is even weaker!
I liked the nature faction – elves – in the fourth game. Summoning is a good feature. Especially when you have built a building in the town to summon praying mantises. The second highest unit is powerful, yes.
The situation changes dramatically at levels above 20!
Why is that? A Mage loses in a 1-on-1 fight, even at level 30. As for the Druid... the key is to focus fire on the Druid; he will fall apart, and it won't be that difficult to take down the summoned creatures.
Yeah, a 30th-level druid knows both combat and antimagic (that's how I always level them up) – try it out! But generally, I prefer Chaos... They have a thief!
It just costs more... And Chaos has the following advantages besides the thief: 1. universal magic 2. Dread Knights 3. other decent fighters
But you have to work to get to Dread Knights! Before they're built, Storm Riders will cut down everyone, and Dread Knights become terribly ineffective... By the time they're built, there will already be 10 of them... plus Cyclops! I think they are very strong ranged attackers, hitting like a Fireball but more powerful! And they are good against heroes because heroes can't retaliate! Plus, Nomads with the Khan's Strike... and Berserkers with Centaurs – the strongest creatures of their levels!
