Finally bought the game. So far, the experience is good; the little dragon is tormenting the snail, and life is beautiful. The Sorceress will have a very hard time in version 1.0. In version 1.1, her situation was slightly improved, so if you play on the original version on the impossible difficulty, you can only win as the Barbarian or Knight.

I like it :) I immediately started playing on impossible difficulty as a Warlord. I'm only playing at work, my home computer can't handle it:o Amelia is level 30, and my dragon is level 50. I've unlocked all the islands except one. I still don't have resurrection, and I don't really need slow. I'm running with this army:
1) Paladins!!! They resurrect everyone (levels 1-4), + they give an extra turn to units that have already moved, + they can also deal significant damage.:smile51: 2) Royal Griffins! They summon griffins, + they have phantom, and from the phantom, more griffins appear, etc. + they all have a constant retaliatory attack!:smile02: 3) Giants, we stomp and gain rage:p 4) Gloom Stalkers (black), hypnosis, deep sleep:rolleyes: 5) Trolls (at night and in the evening), or alchemists, or large Baobabs, I think I'll replace the 5th stack with Saurians when I get to them:p
We increase the stacks of paladins, royal griffins, and gloom stalkers with sacrifice (from tanks), then we restore paladins. Battles with no losses.:)
Why doesn't the "Dragon's Voice" skill affect dragons? :confused: Can anyone explain, or are they not animals (but they are animals, there's a paw print in the upper right corner)?

I defeated him with a group of 46th-level units (a dragonling - 55th level) - for the battle, I took 2 stacks: 291 simple vampires and 12 emerald dragons. In the first round, Khtau killed one emerald dragon with a mass attack... but there were no more losses! The battle lasted 60 rounds. At the end of the battle, 1 emerald dragon recovered after the battle (with a level 3 resurrection skill). All that's left is to clear the islands - Unnamed, Elonu, Sheterra, plus defeat the Driller and Demion, and then Baal :)

I don't like playing as the undead:smile08: Right now, my army consists of Giants, Royal Griffins, Paladins, Hellhounds, and Alchemists.:smile01: Thinking back to how it took me 5 tries to kill the spider and the toad (at levels 23-25), you'd think that with your level 46, you'll be able to do it on the first try in a couple of rounds. I'm playing as Paladin on Hard difficulty. I had very bad luck with random encounters. Basically, the coolest unit before Verona was 3 units of Core Thornlings. I was using archers, imps, Core Serpents (plus Serpent Boots!), and Inquisitors. Then, using a Scroll of Raise Dead, I raised 49 vampires (I think it was on Crimson Wind). Verona was the 5th island in order. At the entrance, you could buy Demonologists. This annoyed me, so I sailed to the Elves, stole the Scroll of the Isle of the Nameless from under their noses, sailed there... bought vampires and 4 Black Dragons there...(I didn't touch anyone on either island). I returned to Verona... and the fun began. I cleared everything except the capital, where Demonion had entrenched himself. I went to Montero, where I defeated everyone except the Driller. At the entrance to Montero, if you sail through the air on a wooden square made of planks... you can reach the Dragon Cave... you have to defeat them - it was a fun battle - a level 29 hero, took meat and 4 Black Dragons against 18 Black Dragons, 22 Red Dragons, 40 Green Dragons, and 800 Lake Dragons... after the battle, only 4 of my Black Dragons remained (plus one squad was resurrected 100%). But then I could hire all 3 types of dragons, which I did. And that's how I've been playing ever since - Black Dragons, Red Dragons, Emerald Dragons, Inquisitors, and Vampires. Somewhere on the Orc island, from a chest that a little dragon created on the battlefield, I found a Scroll of Sacrifice... so I started breeding vampires and Inquisitors every time I increased my leadership. I defeated the Spider on level 32, and not quickly, and the Toad on level 37 (both without losses). I defeated Cthahu on the 7th at 8:00 PM (level 46)... before the battle, you need to dig up a dagger that gives +20% damage to Cthahu and 15% to all lizards :)
I got wings for the hero on level 30.
I just sailed to the Isle of the Nameless - it's the 8th day, 1:00 AM. I also have 210 battles without losses!
P.S. - I keep Inquisitors - to increase rage. I periodically cast Phantom on the Inquisitors, 2-3 squads massively increase rage. Plus - if they kill several dragons (Red or Green), I heal a dragon to almost 60-90% health, and then the Inquisitor phantoms resurrect them :)

Did you build your army for Cthahu specifically, or do you always use this kind of army?
I initially took 5 squads, but I see that Cthahu is systematically killing them... I thought, is it worth it to have so many losses? That's why I only took 2 squads. I gave Stone Skin to the Vampires, and also Stone Skin and Armor of God to the Emerald Dragon, and sometimes I healed him too. The Vampire stood in the center - distracting everyone, and the dragon attacked in melee every round on the injured side, then he doesn't retaliate!

Unfortunately, I messed up with one quest, where I had to stab the knife into Demion's mistress, I felt sorry for her, and sailing to Darion would take a day..., so I'll get fewer points...
