And what if you block the archers? Would that make the faction stronger?

I like Ellaine, with her peasants and money. Iris is cool too, her griffons are scary... I don't really enjoy playing with the others, although Dugald and Vittorio can defeat everyone.

I remember once playing with a friend, and he had an army with about 140 archers and other units (except angels). He attacked a group of 40-50 Druids. They wiped out all his archers with lightning in a single turn. This illustrates the importance of considering who you are attacking and, most importantly, with whom.

My choice is Axel and Laslo. I don't like Dugal because you have to sacrifice either readiness or retribution. I see many people dislike Laslo because of his slow swordsmen (hehe), but in my opinion, his archers are decent against some opponents, as they will be countered first. As for the swordsmen, they don't need super speed because they have enough armor and double attack to counter races that don't stand still and attack. They also won't have to run far because races like the Elves will be easily defeated. That's just my opinion.

Rutger runs faster than anyone else (which is especially useful for catching up to or running away from someone). He reminds me of Clint Eastwood in some way. He's like a knightly foreigner.

It seems no one has heard of Valeria:) She is a specialized hero for the red troops of Haven.

In my opinion, the Griffin Tamer. Although I can’t say for sure.

No, the Trainer is different; this one seems to have the Explorer specialization.

Here's an interesting question: do people really think that Frida's (and Mive's) specialization is so bad? Just off the top of my head, it seems pretty good (bonus to speed).

She's not bad; she's just not very outstanding compared to others. To be honest, I don't pay much attention to specialization. I mainly choose her because of her starting skills (since there isn't a dedicated specialist for Inquisitors anyway).

For playing against the AI, Elaine is simply indispensable.
