Preliminary results and feedback received from the previous two surveys:

As many have probably noticed, it turned out that very often the choice of participants was based more on the header (the image at the top of the page) of the skin options, which ultimately cast doubt on the objectivity of the previous two polls. This was also confirmed by the fact that only 30% of all voters voted for the leading option.

Therefore, the current and last poll on choosing a skin for HeroesWorld will begin with the creation of this topic, and the results of this poll will be taken into account to identify the winning skin.

What will the skin look like in our survey? The skin will be divided into two parts:
1) Skin structure (without any connection to color scheme or header)
2) Skin header (image at the top of the page)
This division is quite fair because each of the presented skin structures can take any of the presented headers with appropriate color adjustments, resulting in the final skin.

This division will make the voting results as objective as possible, so there will be two surveys: one - for choosing the skin structure (it will be attached to this topic), the second - for choosing the header for the selected skin structure (a link to it will be provided below).


Please note that the skin is chosen for the main page of HeroesWorld, and its main task is to present HeroesWorld to guests who see the portal for the first time; however, everyone else will be able to set their preferred header as an option, and it will only be displayed for them. The skin structure will be chosen once for all headers; the only thing is that the color scheme of the structure may be changed when applying each of the headers for the best combination.

1) About the old and a little about the new
In my opinion, skin #6 (based on the current voting options: #3 for the structure and #6 for the header) looks the most balanced. Most of the skins seem too bright and perhaps even ostentatious, if that word is appropriate.
Heroesworld is still a developing portal, and therefore, in my opinion, it would be inappropriate to use something too bright and colorful.

In skin #6, I liked both the choice of structure and its design in the form of scrolls, and the calming header image (by the way, I don't quite understand why the skin should set the mood for a battle?).

2) Only about the new
I'll write a few words about the structures.
#1 and #4 don't look like a cohesive whole; the calendar and rankings seem to be attached with a stapler.
#2 and #3 both look good in this regard, but in #2, I'm a little bothered by the empty space on the left, under the rankings; it's very noticeable. But in #3, everything is arranged clearly, and it gives the impression that everything is in its place.

As for the headers, that's a matter of personal preference; I think we should just choose one that matches the structure in color.

First, a question:

"Will there be a skin designed to resemble Inferno?"

And now, regarding the images:

1. If we don't go into details, it strongly resembles the current version :) slightly modified, and the scrolls are different.

2. No offense to the author :) But the scroll is so light and damaged that it makes you feel sorry for the site if it looks like that :)

*3. And here, associations appear - neat, cohesive, it looks like a picture, and the scroll is fresh :)

Hmm... let's start:)!
1. The skin, honestly, reminds me of some website; it's quite ordinary, simple, beautiful, and somewhat interesting. It's easy to read and browse.
2. Here, I really didn't like it; I don't think users will enjoy reading long articles and posts (on forums or in "guides") because the bright white color will quickly strain their eyes!
3. I don't know why, but it seems the most appealing to me; it's convenient, "nice," not too bright, easy to read, and looks pleasant.
4. It's a bit unclear; it strongly reminds me of the game itself:), and it will likely become monotonous for players of Heroes 5, as everything is the same, linear, and standard.
Conclusion: After thinking for a long time and immediately rejecting two options (2 and 4), the choice wasn't easy:):):), I chose 3 – it feels right, and it should appeal to a new user visiting the site!

As I mentioned in the first post of this thread, in order for the skin to be

made in the style of Inferno

it is necessary to create a corresponding header that embodies this Faction; the topic about headers can be found here. After the header is ready, it can be applied to any of the above-mentioned skin structures with appropriate adjustments to the background and overall color scheme to match the header.

Once again, please note that in this poll we are choosing the structure of the skins; the choice of headers is here.

I really like the current design; I've gotten so used to it.

Many people liked this option =)). I'm also for it =)). It's the most beautiful =)).

I think the third one is the most convenient and optimal.

I think option #1 is the most visually appealing, as it closely resembles the game's original skin, which is a major plus for me! I hope the website visitors will consider my argument and reconsider their position! But ultimately, it's up to each individual!

The third option definitely looks more complete, but that's because it's placed on a textured background. The others look unfinished because they're on a white background. Hence the question – will they remain on a white background? A texture as a background is still preferable, although it consumes more resources. Overall, I think the fourth option is also very interesting if it's also placed on a background. It's more original, and the link system is interesting. Since it's dark, it would be appropriate to place it on a lighter background.
