Here's the question: Heroes takes up about 2 GB, so why does reinstalling (or installing) the game require 1 GB more space on the C drive?
And in the end, this 1 GB still remains unused by Heroes!

Free space is needed for save files.

Surely not a gig? My saves, for example, take up about 200 MB.

Also, consider maps and mods. Although they don't take up as much free space as save files... I think that installing all the games always requires a certain amount of MB or GB.

Archive a couple of large files. Or move them to a storage device (flash drive, DVD). You can restore them after the installation.

When installing the game, the system (OS) needs to create temporary files on drive C, and after installation, they are no longer needed, freeing up space on drive C.
However, there is another possible scenario: after deleting the game, it remains in the Recycle Bin, and the files of the deleted game still occupy space on the hard drive (even though the game's directory is no longer present)... you need to empty the Recycle Bin.

wolf64, the first option is definitely the best. Any distribution mainly consists of one or more archives. And any archiving program creates temporary files during its operation.

I'm running out of space on my C drive for saving Heroes game data. I installed the game on the F drive. Apparently, by default, the game saves everything on the C drive.

Question: is it possible to reconfigure the game so that it saves the data on the F drive?:confused:

vesta, there is no need to reinstall anything. Right-click on the My Documents icon and select a new location for it on any drive. Your save files are stored in this folder.

I bought the gold edition of Heroes 5, installed the main game and the Hammers of Fate expansion, but when installing Tribes of the East, it always gives an error at 88%: File name or extension is too long!
