1. Quick save - F5, quick load - F8.
2. Normal save - F6 (you need to specify a name or agree with the suggested one), load any save - F7 (simple, quick, or auto).
3. When starting the game, you can select the "Load" menu item and load the desired save. They are sorted in descending order of save time. The most recent one will be at the top of the list.
4. Autosaves are automatically saved after a specified number of turns. I don't have the game on hand. I don't remember offhand if you can enable/disable them and adjust the save frequency in the game settings, or if you need to adjust user.cfg. You can easily find the necessary parameters there.
I play fairly.
what exactly is cheating?
So back off your rules,
Back off your jive!
Cause I'm sick of not living,
To stay alive,
Leave me alone!
I'm not asking a lot -
I just don't want to be controlled,
That's all I want.
All I want!(с)The Offspring
By the way, I completed this mission, HOORAY!!!

I started the mission again and immediately ran to free Godric, clearing only what was in the way to the prison. I just made a detour to the peasant huts. Godric is maxed out.
After that, everything went as easily as in version 1.5. The garrison joined Godric. Elaine holed up in the farthest Necropolis. Godric easily defeated Rutger and captured the nearest Castle. And then all the others.
In the final battle, all 3 heroes must defeat Markel without reloading. So, I strengthened Zehir with knight troops. Faidaen had enough elven troops. There was a week of elven archers. They appeared on the map in large numbers. More than 100 joined Faidaen. With the other heroes, I tried not to touch them if I could avoid it.
Of course, all the heroes must max out their stats and visit all the upgrade locations before the battle with Markel. They will also have to fight Biara and the Master in the final mission.
If Godric is not well-leveled, there may be problems.
But I have my own approach. I started maxing out Godric from the very first campaign. The AI clearly sees not only the hero's army but also the hero's stats. Even with a slight numerical advantage, it tries to hide from a strong hero. With his stats, Godric instilled fear in all enemies already in the 3rd campaign (he also made it difficult for me to defeat him). He also maxed out his stats there.
