I think we can start:smile01:
Let's open it on September 16th;)
The tournament promises to have prizes (in addition to virtual prizes, there will also be real prizes).
P.S. I'm just flying to Moscow, and I won't be online from the 7th to the 13th. And in Moscow, I'll also agree on the King's Bounty tournament rules:)
Sincerely, VDV_forever
Maybe we can try it out? When I click on the link for patch 1.6.2, I get a message saying that the page has been deleted or renamed.
The main thing is to get more players to participate in the tournament. I already participated in the very first KB2 tournament – it was held on GLigue in May, version 1.2. Even then, the tournament organizer, BANDIT, contacted the game developers (Katauri) and "obtained" the ability to accurately track and reliably determine who played in which version (version 1.3 was already released at that time). Those who don't know – there are differences, and the behavior of neutral creatures in battle (and their stats and characteristics) also differ.
Besides, there wasn't a digital display of the current game time before (only night, morning, day, and evening of a specific day), but now there is!
But there's a BUT:
1. In the second tournament on GLigue, there were few players.
Therefore, ALL of you who really like and love the game – support this idea – hold and participate in KB2 Tournaments!!!!
2. Unfortunately, there isn't a map editor yet, so for now, tournaments will have to be held on the current map.
But some players are already tired of Darion with the Western and Eastern Islands (everything has been completed many times).
Perhaps the tournament organizer could try to lead the Hero somewhere to the dwarves or elves, with minimal leveling up (i.e., try to ensure that the starting Hero has the minimum possible experience, fewer battles fought, but at the same time, take him as far as possible from Darion).
Let's still hold Tournaments for KB2; the game is very interesting, and most importantly, it's similar in spirit to Heroes!!

A Tournament for KB on HW will definitely be held! It is also assumed that the first Tournament will have prizes (In addition to a virtual prize, there will definitely be a real one).
The Tournament rules are already ready.
The goal of the 1st offline Tournament: to level up the Katauri Hero in the minimum game time. In case of a tie in days/hours, the best will be determined by the amount of gold in the treasury.
P.S. The letter to the developers has already been sent;)

Maybe we can play with it? When I click on the link to patch 1.6.2, I get a message that the page has been deleted or renamed.
For now, we plan to play on patch 1.6.4;)
Sincerely, VDV_forever
The letter from the developers has been received, and the first offline tournament is expected to open at the end of next week!
In this regard, I suggest you familiarize yourselves with the potential rules for KB offline tournaments.
All your comments and suggestions will be considered and taken into account when drafting the official rules!
1. In order to participate in the first offline tournament for King's Bounty, you must register on our website www.heroesworld.ru and also place a request in this thread.
2. The tournament is held on the licensed version of KB, with patch 1.6.4 installed.
Download patch 1.6.4
3. The goal of the game is to develop the starting hero Katauri to level 7.
The winner of this tournament receives a prize in the form of a medal (in the profile and under the avatar), as well as a prize from HW in the form of a licensed KB disc!
This tournament is rated.
4. The result will be evaluated, first and foremost, by the fewest number of days, hours, and minutes spent leveling the hero.
If several players are tied in days and hours, the winner will be determined by the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, intellect) INCLUDING EQUIPPED ARTEFACTS of the starting hero; if a favorite is still not determined, then by the amount of gold.
5. List of prohibitions and restrictions:
5.1. Dying;
5.2. Taking chests on the battlefield;
5.3. Restarting the game, i.e., you can only play from the starting (downloaded) save;
5.4. Using cheating programs, codes, as well as additional programs that can change the game structure;
5.5. Discussing the tournament on the Internet during its conduct (players who violate this rule automatically exclude the possibility of playing the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be annulled).
If a player suspects that their opponent played in violation of the rules, they have the right to contact the tournament organizer and demand that the opponent send the walkthrough saves. The player sending such a request is obliged to send their own saves made before each battle to the tournament organizer.
The result of a player who played unfairly, as well as one who did not send their description (saves) on time at the request of the tournament organizer, will be annulled and their further participation in tournaments will be impossible. This will also reflect on their reputation, not in a positive way.
6. Send the save to the email address [email protected]
The sent save must contain the tournament number (1), the participant's number in the application table, the tournament abbreviation (Н - Beginning) and the player's Nick.
Example:
1_1_Н_VDV_forever.CM1
7. The tournament starts on October 5, 2008, and will last until November 5, 2008 (inclusive!), Moscow time. The final results of the tournament will be announced on November 10, 2008.
8. After receiving the save from you, you will see in the application table that:
save accepted - bold Nick.
save counted -blue bold Nick.
save not counted - red bold Nick.
This list may be expanded by new participants!
We invite everyone to participate in the tournament!
Saves will be considered only for those players who are in this table, so make your requests IN ADVANCE!!!
Tournament participants:

All about the starting save
download save from **.**.**:
Start_1_offline.zip
9. Sequence of actions to participate in the tournament:
9.1. Download the save.
9.2. The downloaded save must be placed on your computer in the GAMES folder of the installed game.
9.3. Load it and start playing at any time convenient for you (i.e., players fight strictly on downloaded saves. Restarting the game is forbidden.); meanwhile, you must save before the start of each battle, as well as save at the end of each quarter of the day for each day (night, morning, day and evening) and keep them on your computer!
The judge has the right to demand walkthrough saves and explanations for them from any player, up to the description of the tactics of a specific battle.
In the absence of satisfactory explanations (from the judge's point of view), the player's result is annulled.
In the presence of a satisfactory walkthrough description, but in the absence of the necessary saves, the player is credited with a defeat. The statute of limitations (during which daily saves must be kept) is 7 days after the preliminary results of the round are summarized.
9.4. Upon reaching level 7, you must save again.
9.5. Send the save to [email protected]
9.6. Wait for the results to be summarized.
Regards, VDV_forever
By the way, it's great that there is now a digital representation of game time. They write - the day number, and the hours with minutes!!!
By the way, I think that level 5 is VERY low. It could be raised a bit. Otherwise, there might be very close results among many players.
Another suggestion - since there is often randomness in the game, for example, in the same battle with the same neutral creature, a chest may appear on the battlefield, and it may contain anything - gold, an artifact, crystals, runes, and a scroll with a spell. Sometimes, a scroll can be VERY useful - i.e., it cannot be bought in nearby locations and stores. The essence of the suggestion is:
it is not allowed to use in the game a scroll with a spell obtained from a chest on the battlefield if the same spell cannot be bought anywhere in the stores (castles, etc.), at least the player cannot get to it (neutral creatures are in the way, there is no money, etc.)

Sometimes, players have an old patch installed incorrectly. For the sake of a clean experiment, you can install the game from scratch and then install the latest patch....
It would be good to provide a link to this patch in the first post....
Although it can always be found at http://www.kingsbounty.ru/patches.php

In point 4, changes should also be made:
The result will be evaluated primarily based on the smallest number of days, hours, and minutes spent on developing the hero.
If several players have the same number of days, hours, and minutes, the best one will be determined by the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge) INCLUDING WORN ARTIFACTS of the starting hero. If a favorite cannot be determined even then, it will be determined by the amount of gold.

By the way, is it already known which character we will be playing as - a warrior, a paladin, or a mage???

I have another suggestion - to change the main condition of the tournament - 3. The goal of the game is to develop the starting hero Katauri to level 5
namely:
Option 1 - The goal of the game is to develop the starting hero Katauri to level 5, and in addition, also develop two spirits from the box (ZEROK and SLIM) - both to level 4.
Option 2 - The goal of the game is to develop the starting hero Katauri, as well as two spirits from the box (ZEROK and SLIM) to level 5, i.e., all three must be at least level 5.
Option 3 - The goal of the game is to maximize the experience of the starting hero Katauri by the end of the first game day, i.e., the save must be made no later than 1 day 23.59.
Option 4 (masochistic) - speedrun - defeat the necromancer in the castle in the Morshan Swamps as quickly as possible (Eminem, I think...)
I suggest making some adjustments to the rules...
The comments have been taken into account, thank you. I hope that before the tournament starts, we will refine the rules and make them as suitable as possible for the game.
Sincerely, VDV_forever
P.S. And where is the save file?
Sincerely, VDV_forever
