I will still play the 3rd installment even when the 10th Heroes game comes out. Even if I change computers, move to another city, get married, and get old, the 3rd game will always be my favorite!

The third installment of Heroes of Might and Magic is the best, especially WoG. The other parts are completely unplayable for me.

Heroes 3 was my first strategy game, if I remember correctly, about 8 years ago. It impressed me so much that I still can't tear myself away from it. Of course, Heroes 5 is a breakthrough in the Heroes series, but only because of the graphics. They didn't captivate me as much as the third installment, even though it was based on it. And Heroes 3.5 WoG, like its predecessors, also won me over! There's nothing more to add – Heroes 3 is timeless!

Shveps, no one forced you to say that))) Well, since I played the fifth game for about 3 years first, and then got around to the third one, I'll say this... I will play them, but not always. I will definitely play them for the next 3 years.

Personally, I think that Heroes 3 and Heroes 4 are the best.

Heroes 5 has been around for quite some time now... but when it comes to the total time spent playing, I play Heroes 3 five times more often than Heroes 5... because Heroes 3 is a CLASSIC! (although I also enjoy Heroes 5).

For some reason, I can't seem to get into playing with 5 heroes. Not that the game doesn't support it. I just tried playing, but it's still not for me. 5 heroes just aren't my thing.

There's a missing answer option in the poll: "I prefer Heroes 4." Don't ignore us, the fans of the fourth installment – even though we're a smaller group, we still exist and represent a significant portion of the series' fans.
For me, the fourth game comes first; I consider it the most promising and innovative version of Heroes, and I play it most often. Then comes the third game because it's a classic, one of the first games I played on my computer, and it evokes a lot of pleasant memories. And only then comes the fifth game, purely out of respect for the previous installments in the series. That's how it is.

The best part of the series is Heroes 3; unfortunately, I think it won't get any better, as the developers have taken the wrong path. This is just my opinion, and I'm not imposing it on anyone.

I, on the contrary, believe that the innovations related to racial skills, such as avenger, training, and mini-artifacts, definitely add some flavor to the game.

Playing with different factions has become much more interesting. And the alternative upgrade is a real gem. The graphics are many times better.

I read somewhere that the original campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic V has the most interesting storyline.

So, if I had to choose, I would play Heroes of Might and Magic V.

But the fifth game started to evolve and follow in the footsteps of the third. The introduction of artifact sets that grant additional stats...

I’ve managed to play all the Heroes of Might and Magic games, taking breaks in between when one part got boring. If I compare Heroes 3 and Heroes 5, I think Heroes 3 is slightly better, even considering some nuances. All those upgrades certainly seem to add variety, but honestly, it feels a bit too mainstream. In these upgrades, I somehow see those numerous, completely silly exclamations from players who don’t really understand the series, like “I want 20 castles!” “I want towers to shoot like cannons!” “I want lots of monsters!” and so on.
However, things like simultaneous turns, the absence of “flight,” the division of magic, an interesting magic system, and the uniqueness of each race still suggest that Heroes 5 is a good game, and you can play it from time to time.

But Heroes 3 is simply a classic, and that’s why I sometimes return to it, perhaps for nostalgia, although it’s not something you can play for a long time.
IMHO.

I will approach new games with suspicion. Maybe I'm a conservative, but that's how it is. More graphics don't necessarily mean better. RedAlert3 is an absurdity. Fallout3 is just awful compared to Fallout2 and FalloutTactics, which, judging by all accounts, will remain the best in the series for many years to come. And in the UFO series, UFO1 remains the best. :)

Do you still play Homm3 after the release of Homm5?

Ha! Damn right! And I will continue to do so even after the release of Homm6! Moreover, not only in Homm3, but also in Homm2!:D

In general, there are no uninteresting games in the Homm series. It's just that everyone has their own preferences. Mine are WOG and Homm4. And even more so, WOG. I really like the troops that gain experience.:D
And the second Heroes game is a classic. People will still be playing it after the release of Homm10. ;)
