yeah, that's right. these aren't monsters with claws out, running around the fields and devouring random travelers; they're an intelligent race. so why shouldn't they have a warrior with a sword and armor? actually, they all look like Cthulhu.
Dungeons & Dragons, the most famous role-playing system. Neverwinter Nights 1-2, Baldur's Gate 1-2, Temple of Elemental Evil, Eye of the Beholder, etc. – these are computer adaptations of D&D.
This isn't the old Might and Magic world, with the Ancients and the Kriganians as aliens; it would seem completely absurd here, unlike the old Might and Magic/Heroes of Might and Magic universes.
