I like to joke around and don't fill in the "gender" field in my profile. I've even been asked out on dates, people have flirted with me, and I was even in a lesbian chatroom :o. Although now, many people want to kill me :(

That's cute, but it's not really a story.
I came up with mine about 10 years ago and have stuck with it ever since. The exception is for female characters, where I use Lana. And recently, I've also been using Cambio_dolor; those who know, will understand.

Yes, for female characters, I use the name Miranda because I have a friend whose last name is Mironov. We all call him "Mirom." Once, we were walking down the street with some friends and started joking around, and Lyokha blurted out, "Miranda!" We laughed for a long time, and when I bought Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, I named my female character Miranda.

My nickname also has a simple meaning, but a complex history. At first, I wanted to be called Khan (in honor of an ancestor - Genghis Khan), then one of my friends constantly called me Seryoga. Then I wanted to take the nickname Doroga (this is purely personal). And AlexeyPank is almost my first and last name. Although AlexeyPanch would be more correct, but Pank is also a worldview.

I'm reading Perumov's works, and I came across a character there who is strikingly similar to me in personality. His name was Rogvold, and so...

And it’s already pretty clear what my name is – they call me Anya, and even in Africa they call me Anya, but everyone keeps trying to call me Ann, and I’m like, come on, learn English. I just studied English for a very long time and I’m simply used to being called that.

Well, the story behind my nickname is quite simple. I used to have many different nicknames, but recently I read the latest book by Dmitry Yemets (Taya Grotter and the Ring with a Pearl), and there's a little dragon named Tangro in it. I liked the name, so I took it as my nickname (I just changed one letter for secrecy).

and they called me Strike because before that, I didn't know about Heroes and played Counter-Strike online with friends, and I played a lot. My friends started calling me Counter-Strike, but then I shortened the nickname to Strike, and now I go by that, or sometimes, just for fun, Mister Strike.

Yes, it's very simple – I once had a cool keychain from the company West, and I didn't have a nickname, so I played once in a club with that name, and that's how it stayed.

I was playing a shooter, and I needed a suitable nickname. I chose Reanimator. But in the chats, everyone kept calling me Rean, so I shortened the nickname to Rean.

I don't know what made me do it, but I chose a nickname from the movie about Dalmatians. There was this mean aunt who wanted to hurt the puppies, and her last name was DeVil. I just added "Miss" to it. ;)

Does anyone remember Uther from Disciples? And, not knowing how to spell his name, I called myself UTER.

And I just enjoy playing as a Necromancer in many games (where it's possible), like Heroes or Diablo. In real life, everyone calls me by my name.

Well, I came up with my nickname myself when I was 5... :rolleyes: It's my second name... :) At first, it was just an abbreviation of my first and last name... then, when I got older, you could say that ANAKO :o meant "She and Co," but it turned out to be a rather funny name... :D When I went to school, Hector and I came up with our own language, alphabet, and a small dictionary of names. :p In it, Anako means "ruler of freedom." I started using this name as my nickname online... :cool: I never change it. It's strange - at school, they call me:( Yaik, but when I go out for a walk, I immediately change my attitude... :cool:

And my name is straightforward: Romash-pathos, that's it!
But there were many others: Romstein, Romstex – from my favorite band, and Rompombo!
But my favorite nickname was DeathClawer – those who know, will understand!
