Hello everyone. I initially thought that 2 people from each group would advance. Then, a draw would be held from the remaining 4. They would play 2 games to determine who advances to the final, and then the final would be played, and the match for third place would also be played to 2 wins. But since the plan is to shorten the event, I'll support Palych. Thank you.
I ask all participants in the tournament to vote on the final round. According to the current regulations, only 1 person from each group advances to the final. There is a suggestion to add another round: the 2 people who took second place in their groups play a tie-breaker, and the winner advances to the final (like a third chance). The loser automatically receives a well-deserved 4th place. In this case, the final will be held between the top three, where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be clearly determined.
Why do I suggest this? I think it will enhance both the final and the semi-final. Currently, in the semi-final, the loser of one game may not be motivated to play at full strength, which could slightly distort the result. Also, the second and third places will be contested more objectively.
