I have a suggestion, although it's a bit off-topic. What if we create a special welcome message for new users? For example, when someone registers on the forum, they receive an email that says something like, "Here you can participate in tournaments: (link), here you can discuss problems with the game: (link), this is a thread for beginners, and here you can discuss problems with playing through Hamachi." I think this would partially prevent new users from creating new threads like [PROBLEM] and so on.
P.S. As Vayshan correctly pointed out, I meant PM (Private Message).

The website's appearance isn't very good either:
...The database system is a great idea, but the frame is just awful.
...I don't like the website's design styles, except for the Inferno and Sylvan styles.
I have a suggestion to add a radio station to the website (playing soundtracks from Heroes to maintain the heroic atmosphere). It's a bit strange, but it's still an idea...
I believe that changing the engine is definitely necessary. I want to see more "dynamics" in this website.
If I can help in this area (regarding the revival team), should I contact the user responsible for this topic? Did I understand you correctly, VDV_forever?
Absolutely.;)
Sincerely, VDV_forever
There are many such topics on the forum. I would like this to be taken into account when the site is redesigned. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know:)
P.S. A limit on userbars should definitely be introduced, otherwise it's just bad. It takes longer to load, and your eyes get tired quickly.
P.P.S. I don't know about the design, but the color scheme of the site is excellent. I haven't seen any other forum that wouldn't tire your eyes, except for this one. You can look at it for days and your eyes won't get tired)))
Bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter,
Our people drift and die,
The walls of gold entomb us,
The swords of scorn divide,
Take not thy thunder from us,
Take away our pride.

Regarding the site design - it's excellent. The pleasant background on the forum. BUT, if you compare it, say, with Liga Geroyev (I hope this isn't considered advertising) - their design is practically nonexistent, yet the league rules... because of the great "content" and great players! So I think design is far from the main thing; the main thing is tournaments and attracting newcomers.
Regarding the DB system - the highlight of HeroesWorld, it's definitely needed. Leave the birds where they currently sit! Though I have indeed noticed a couple of times that some players raise their spirit only to comment on the previous comment.
In most cases, we all participate in tournaments. And if something goes wrong with the tournament organization, it spoils the impression of the specific tournament as a whole, and also spoils the overall impression of the portal. For example, when the tournament organizer doesn't specify everything in the first post, is absent from the site for a long time, and doesn't monitor the tournament thread...
Therefore, I suggest that the tournament organizer always has an OFFICIAL assistant, and this (the assistant's NICK) should be specified in the first post. The assistant has the right to officially make changes to the first post (add new players, make notes about receiving saves, etc.) and generally monitor the tournament thread and respond promptly to the situation.
And there should be two email addresses - the organizer's and the assistant's. And if, due to some life circumstances, the organizer is temporarily absent from the portal and his tournament, his assistant should be able to officially do everything for him, summarize the results, ask players for explanations about their playthroughs, if necessary, etc.
And secondly, please explain to me - does the tournament organizer report to anyone (for example, to a coordinator) that all submitted saves arrived within the allotted time? Because sometimes players write in the tournament thread that they just sent their save, but the deadline (hour X) has already passed (for example, 40 minutes ago). Naturally, if the date and time of the save are before hour X, the judge-organizer can, at his discretion, make an exception and accept the save.
For example, a tournament is currently ending (hour X was this past Monday), and it's already Wednesday, and the organizer hasn't appeared in the thread at all (I mean in the last three days). All this is sad, and some of the negativity is directed towards the entire portal.
By the way, I don't like that in the organization of any tournament, a minimum of a week is allocated for summarizing the results. And if the organizer turns out to be efficient and can summarize everything in 1-2 days, I would like that more. And I always want the PRELIMINARY results to be published within the first day (after the deadline for submitting saves has passed). And if there are questions to some players, and clarifications and explanations from them are needed, then there is a week for this.
P.S. The website design is good.
And consider limiting the size of avatars (in pixels and kilobytes) and the number of user bars (I wrote about this above) - this will definitely speed up the website.
I want to say that proper tournament organization evokes positive emotions, while poor organization evokes negative emotions. And this either makes the player want to continue participating in the life of the portal, or sooner or later they will leave for another one. We are talking about the development of the portal - so we need to talk about what is being implemented well and what is not.
I won't be able to answer everything within this topic; welcome to the "Dialogues with Moderators" thread.
Many leading players have assistants, some official, some not.
A week is allocated because many leading players work, and they usually check the saves, at least initially, on weekends. And tournaments usually end on Monday or Tuesday.
