I don't understand your fear of the mod. We're not suggesting it because we think it will give us an advantage. You seem to think it will be like playing on a map that we've played a hundred times, and you've never seen. That's a misconception. The level of play doesn't change whether you play pre-made decks on the TE or on the original game; you can even see this in the tournament results. If you say you have players who play random games, then I don't see any reason for them not to try the mod. It's much more interesting to play on the mod for many reasons, which Moz already wrote about above. We can talk about this because we've played with and without the mod and can compare them, but saying that the mod is bad and will give us an advantage without even trying it is completely incorrect. You could just have your players try playing in the summer tournament on the portal; if something is unclear, they can always explain it there, and if there are any justified comments, the mod can be adjusted; it is constantly being improved. Personally, I would be interested in playing against new people, which is why I participate in tournaments in general, but taking such a step back and returning to the original game when you know how much it falls short of the mod in terms of playability is something I really don't want to do...

As far as I've learned from Primus, the only person you were able to communicate with normally without painful ambitions, there are only two HP players willing to play on 3.0, meaning you don't gather the required quorum.
Playing on TE HeroesWorld won't happen, as has been repeatedly told to you, so it's clear that the tournament won't take place. Holding a tournament for individual championship is also unrealistic for the same reasons mentioned above.

Here are ours:
1) We nominate 5 players, you nominate 5 as well, then we draw lots and create 5 pairs. After that, each pair plays until one of them wins two games. Then, the total score is calculated.
2) I suggest playing on fan-made templates. Fortunately, they can be played without mods. The layouts are available, and everyone can study them.

Here, timing is still important. Until approximate deadlines are set, it's pointless to talk about it; everything is fluid and constantly changing. Plus, it's summer, and so on. So, if within a week it becomes clear that it's time to decide whether a team for 3.0 will be assembled, let me know. I'll try to find out in 2-3 days and give you an answer; there are no guarantees, as we've written about the reasons many times. If you happen to have a team for Team Edition, let me know as well; a team will definitely be assembled from the Portal at any time.
Ideally, the maps/fixes should also be determined.

What led to such sad conclusions? They are both alive. Mr. X appears almost every day on Ubi. As for MadDog... well, at least right now, at 8:20 PM on June 26, 2008, he's playing an RMJ map on Ubi under the nickname ROZIK 666. Although, I found it strange when he played against me in Favorites; they seemed like good online players, but both of their profiles on HW looked like they belonged to beginners.
