I have Heroes 5, not Hammers of Fate or Tribes of the East. I log into the Ubisoft server, but everyone there has version 3.0. Consequently, I can't play because the game versions don't match. The official patch is up to version 1.6. I understand that 3.0 is Tribes of the East, and I need that, or I have to wait for someone to log into the server with version 1.6, or go to the store and buy Tribes of the East. Am I right? And is there anywhere I can play with my version of Heroes?

That's right! You can only play version 1.6 if you're lucky enough to find an opponent with the same version. However, even though I don't visit the forums every day, I rarely see servers with version 1.6. It would be better to buy Tribes of the East, learn all the new features, and start playing online. The vast majority play version 3.0, so you shouldn't have any problems finding opponents, especially in the evening.

On average, 8-25 users play in duel mode on Ubi, and 15-60 users play "on maps" simultaneously...
Approximately every 10th user has version 1.6, so there are almost always 1 to 8 users with version 1.6...
By the way, this is the second most popular version on Ubi... it's even more common than versions 2.0 and 2.1.
