Wow!!! I finally finished it, yeah... what an ending!
Open ending... a teaser for Tribes of the East.
Raelag is heading east in the intro. It seems he will be one of the leaders!
And the last mission is easy (like the last mission in Heroes 5). Yes! There are many distractions in the mission... luckily I didn't rush through the Red Garrison but went straight to the dwarves.

I don't understand why everyone finds it so easy. My Ilaya and Isabelle barely manage to reach the top, and then a demon chases after them (it even kicks up dust). And at the top, I don't really have a choice – either fight off the demon or attack the red creature that's attacking Duncan. I tried not to engage the demon, but it just heads towards the castle and devours Duncan. And if I kill the demon, I don't have enough strength left to deal with the red creature... In short, I've tried five times, and every time the scenario unfolds the same way – I get hit at the very beginning, and that's it...

I don't know, a demon was chasing me all the way to its southern Fortress! And then it just disappeared somewhere and stopped bothering me.

I don't quite understand what the difficulty of the mission is. Here's what I did: on day 6, I captured the castle with Duncan. Then I gave all the human troops to Frieda, and together with the dwarf, they captured all the mines in 1.5 weeks. Then Frieda and Ilay went to the Dungeon, and after 2 weeks, there were no more demons left (Frieda was doing the work). My losses were insignificant. Ilay captured the Dark Elf castle. When Frieda was leaving the Dungeon, a red hero somehow got locked in there and got thoroughly beaten. Frieda took a 2-week human reinforcement and wiped out 10,000 peasants in the garrison (losses were only 5 griffins). She defeated the red hero, gathered a 2-week reinforcement, went through 2 dwarf garrisons without significant losses, and defeated the dwarf king, losing barely 0.25 of her army. I completed it 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
P.S. Be sure to use training grounds.

This mission was quite challenging to complete; I couldn't break through the garrison in front of the dwarf king's castle without significant losses, so there weren't enough forces left to attack the castle itself. I had to resort to a little trickery and have Ilay jump over the garrison using astral gates. Then, I managed to capture the castle. The most interesting thing is that the AI didn't expect such a move, so Alaric remained standing next to the castle instead of jumping into the portal. Recently, I decided to start a new game from this save and try to defeat Alaric just for fun. I replenished my army a bit and went forward. In the end, Alaric was defeated. Next, I captured the second garrison that I had jumped over earlier. As I did this, the camera shifted to the spot where Alaric had been standing, creating the impression that someone was running into the portal. As a result, the game froze.

I finished this mission on the sixth day of the second week (I'm a little sad it was so quick). Maybe someone will find it interesting, especially those who want to complete it faster. The thing is, I didn't capture any mines or forts from the red player. After freeing Duncan, I moved all the humans to Frieda and, together with Wolfenstein, rushed towards the dwarven castle. Wolfenstein had enough strength to break through both garrisons (even resurrection wasn't really needed), and Frieda attacked the castle. As a result, she killed the dwarven king, and the mission was completed. Of course, I had to resurrect the crossbowmen and paladins a few times. I don't know, maybe I'll replay it later, because it wasn't very interesting when not a single monster even had a chance to attack.

I really struggled with this mission, but I finally completed it. 1) I directed Ilay directly towards Horncrest, while Isabel gathered resources. 2) After clearing the path to Horncrest and all the heroes joined me, I gave all the Knight army to Friede and sent her to defeat the demons, and I sent Wulvsten and Ilay to the underground castle of the Dark Elves (when Alaric passes through the garrison, don't be alarmed, wait until he passes through the Dwarven garrison, and he won't attack you). 3) After capturing all the Devil castles and the Dungeon castle, I didn't develop them, but accumulated gold and built up Horncrest. 4) I sent Wulvsten to capture the Dwarven garrisons, accumulated the Knight army, and trained the first half of the peasants into Monks, and the second half into Champions. 5) I waited until the last week, gave all the Knight army to Ilay, and sent her to the Dwarven castle. I resurrected the creatures a couple of times and won. 6) For those who don't have Resurrection, you can find it in the Dwarven territory.

What about Chaos magic? I don't remember this mission very well, but I can confidently say that any spell will definitely hit an ethereal unit. Try playing based on that. And if a hero has problems with Chaos, then that's not good :/

I found a tome of Chaos magic, but what’s the point? The heroine doesn’t have the corresponding skill. She also doesn’t have resurrection or blinding spells. I really don’t know what to do. Especially annoying are the 19 dragons and 40 warlords.

As far as I remember, Ilia is a Warlock. I can't imagine a Warlock without Chaos magic. It's his main magic, combined with Arcane Wave, spellcasting, and magic attraction. He doesn't need any other magic (IMHO).

IMHO, machines aren't particularly useful for a Warlock. They're only good in short games for clearing out neutrals. And even without them, Warlocks and some other factions can clear out neutrals just fine. I would upgrade Chaos instead, and instead of something else... - invest in education with magic attraction. Otherwise, it's difficult.

Probably, it’s possible. One user wrote on the AG forum that he completed the campaign with Raileigh without leveling up any magic schools. But I doubt I could do that.
