Not sure if I posted in the right section, but I hope I did. I used to have a licensed copy of Heroes 5. Now I bought a pirated version with add-ons (couldn't find anything else). The disc contains full games (the add-on itself takes up 4GB during installation). I have some questions: 1. The game has a text translation that is identical in quality to the licensed version, but the voice acting is in English. Where can I find a good Russian voiceover? 2. I played through it and enjoyed it, but a colleague wants to play with cheats. We searched and found a method that involves adding a command to the input and autoexec files, but there are 2 of these files in the game (with the same name and with the "1a" prefix in the names). There were no such problems with the licensed version. How can I fix this? There is also an add-on for the Eastern Tribes, I haven't installed it yet, but I suspect there will be the same problems, and I'm already interested in a solution for those problems as well.

I believe that the "1a" prefix refers to the expansion pack, and the files without the prefix refer to the original game.

You can only purchase a license! You won't be able to download it... Download a trainer from the internet, and you won't need cheat codes...

There are no patches for version 3.0. You can only download something of questionable quality. I don't have the game on hand, but even without it, I can say that the voice acting weighs tens of MB, if not more. Therefore, it is unlikely that anyone will send it. If you need the voice acting for the campaigns, that's no problem. There is a mod with Russian voice acting that allows you to play all the campaigns in version 3.0: http://heroes.ag.ru/heroes5/news/2008/01/ (news from January 21).

In the original campaigns, I have found 3 undubbed videos so far: the capture of Isabella, the death and resurrection of Nicholas. I don't know if this mod includes the voice acting for the Tribes of the East campaigns? It's already in Russian for me, even without the mod. Only the voices are quiet.

What I mean is, if you buy just Heroes 5 (the original) or Heroes 5: Hammers of Fate, you'll get versions 1.0 and 2.0 respectively. In the Gold Edition, these games are installed along with all the patches that were released at the time of the edition's release, i.e., 1.6 and 2.1.

I can't say for sure why they removed the cheats.
