Buy the cheapest house and furnish it with the highest quality items your wallet allows. Get a job. The Sim is happy. Since good items better satisfy the Sim's needs, they are always in a good mood => they get a promotion and are even happier. Then, if they fulfill their desires well, they get a platinum mood – also a very powerful cheat. Carefully maintain this mood (i.e., don't forget to fulfill their desires) and improve their stats for promotions, which is very easy with a platinum mood. Buy 1 elixir of youth; with a platinum mood, the effects of bonus items are ALWAYS successful. And that's it.
