Zenit is becoming a team of European caliber and can compete even with the giants of European football. Very good game, especially regarding Arshavin. How was it in St. Petersburg?:o Actually, you had to see it...
We settled in a small bar (it was the only one we could find, even though we arrived early)... somewhere around an hour before the match... we chatted, and then the match started... The first half was great! I didn't even notice how it passed... It was such a unifying experience! But the second half was something else... Pure stress... But when the first goal was scored.... oh my god!!!!! What was happening in that small bar... I can't even imagine what was happening in the bigger ones... My friend and I jumped up from our seats, started hugging, jumping, shouting, and in our excitement, we broke an ashtray, although at that moment, we didn't even care:p I still remember that moment and I really want it to happen again... The chants... And then... the same feelings as on November 11th... nerves, watching the time... oh... Such nerves - it was something... I couldn't watch the end:).. I barely made it through..
The award ceremony... I probably looked like a child - a smile didn't leave my face:o and it was so nice to watch the Rangers :smile04: they shouldn't play like that in the final..
And then... people poured out into the streets (at first, there were fewer people than during the championship, but then more and more people showed up...) and then this indescribable atmosphere began - chants, slogans... AAAAAAAA... embracing with completely strangers:).. someone brought a small cup:p .. new chants, and even about the Scots)))

So, my friends... :) Who will be watching the Champions League Final today?:)

Well, Terry had previously brought Chelsea to a penalty shootout when he headed the ball out of the empty net after a shot from Giggs.

It seems that C. Ronaldo will be recognized as the best player of the year, as he is having his best season. Of course, much will depend on his performance at the European Championship. By the way, he has been appointed captain of the Portuguese national team and has been given a new number – 7, and he is only 23 years old.

I feel very sorry for Terry; he played a good match, and it was so frustrating to see him slip when they were just one penalty kick away from victory...
To be honest, at first, I wasn't rooting for anyone. I was just watching two strong teams play! In the first half, Manchester was leading, but in the second half, they seemed to lose steam. Ronaldo seemed a bit lost, in my opinion, but Chelsea was trying their best! It was this determination to win that impressed me! And goalkeeper Čech was great; he beautifully saved two 100% shots! And Terry pulled off an amazing match! I didn't like Drogba's behavior; you can't act like that when the Champions League trophy is at stake. He's the one they're counting on, and he... left his team with fewer players. And the referee was acting strangely too; his opinion constantly contradicted the linesman's. Oh well...
But overall, it was a beautiful, intriguing game :) Full of emotions!

And again, I'll repeat that I feel very sorry for Terry. The rain played a cruel trick on him. It's a shame when victory is decided by such a random event. It wasn't the goalkeeper's merit. And it was sad to see Terry's despair and tears. I sincerely feel sorry for him. As well as for the whole team.
But we should give them credit and thank them for the football, for this match, for the excitement!
