Well, Alex, you have to agree that it's easier to play as the Dark faction...
For example, the moment on Tatooine... where the woman asks you to buy a trophy from her... If you're playing as the Light faction, you buy it and pay an additional 200, but if you're playing as the Dark faction, you just take the trophy.

Well, in the second part, when you, as the Dark Side, have to fight to the death with the surviving Jedi Masters, it's quite difficult if you're not playing on an easy difficulty level... By the way, there's a similar moment on Dantooine... where they offer to buy a fake holocron... It's more profitable, yes, but not easier... The point is how you level up... I don't think anyone is used to using Auras, right?))

Yeah... I downloaded some videos from swkotor.ru and now I'm playing the game again... I wonder what Bastila and that group of Jedi were hoping to achieve when they wanted to fight Revan? + the fact that Bastila is a Padawan... If Malak hadn't fired... This again shows the Sith's treachery :D.

Hmm, an interesting point in KOTOR 2, fair enough, life is tough for everyone;)
And about the holocron, I didn't understand, is this from KOTOR 1?
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

It's all from Kotor 2... When playing as Light Side with the Masters, you won't have to fight them... In general, they've made some moments more difficult for the Dark Side... On Telos, when choosing who to work for, usually for the True Sith, it's the Czerka corporation - they make you complete a couple of extra quests because they don't trust you (you're a Sith after all)...

By the way, in the second part, they made one instance where the alignment of the Force Side influences the joining of one of your future companions... No details:D, but the choice nicely reflects what is needed for the Light Side or the Dark Side...

By the way, someone here mentioned that the Sith law "a teacher must kill his student" is only in Knights of the Old Republic, but that's not true. I remembered a scene in the movie where Palpatine was talking about Darth Plagueis...

Well, a lot of time has passed, but I'll still bump this thread.
I played Knights of the Old Republic 2 and I still have the same opinion. Darth Nihilus, sparing Visas, did so only because she survived the genocide and thus proved her potential usefulness. Kreia... Well, there are no words, she's just a person who calculated everything perfectly, and everyone had to play their role in her plan, basically, a manipulator :) The Sith were, are, and will remain evil no matter what.
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

Let's put it this way: in every universe (and I don't mean outer space...), there is good and there is evil. In Star Wars, the Sith, to a greater or lesser extent, represent evil, just as the Jedi represent good. What makes the Sith better than the Jedi? They live serving themselves, they do what they want, they don't obey an order or a code like the Jedi do. In general, if there is no evil, then there will be no one to oppose it.

Let's put it this way, in every universe (and I think everyone understands that I'm not talking about space...), there is good and there is evil. In Star Wars, the Sith, to a greater or lesser extent, embody evil, just as the Jedi embody good.
What makes the Sith better than the Jedi? They live serving themselves, they do what they want, they don't obey an order or a code like the Jedi do.
In general, if there is no evil, then there will be no one to oppose it.
Good and evil are two sides of the same coin, which cannot be fully expressed in any being... Even, in my personal opinion, God and Satan are not absolute representatives of good and evil, respectively...
Therefore, it is more natural to divide the opposition in Star Wars into "Light and Darkness." However, "Light and Darkness" are not complete synonyms for "Good and Evil" - they are diluted and presented as something that has both advantages and disadvantages - it's just that, in general, the advantages of "light" outweigh the disadvantages, which is exactly the opposite for "darkness"...
So, what can be considered purely "good" is what best suits your (individual) point of view... For Drakkosha, it will be the Jedi, serving the code and the "Light," and for me, "good" will be "Darkness," freedom, personal choice, and the Sith's pursuit of personal power :) Everyone has their own point of view

My point of view is this: Serving a code and "light" is nonsense; one should only serve oneself and loved ones. Striving for independence, for personal choice. But at the same time, not indiscriminately slaughtering everyone... Therefore, I lean towards the "gray" (I don't know how else to call it) side of the force.

By the way, in Kotor 2, there is a mention of "gray" Jedi – those who behave similarly to the Monarch's propaganda. But here lies the danger that the dark side will find it easier to corrupt you, because you do not strictly adhere to the Jedi Code. After all, one can fall to the dark side even with the best intentions (Anakin Skywalker), so it is better to be either on the side of the Jedi or not get involved in all these games with the "Force."
You, Monarch, are already leaning towards the dark side, because
you should only serve yourself and your close people.
This is one of the main postulates of the Sith ;) Hmm, you wouldn't make a good Jedi...
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

Well, I used to think differently. But now... Why live for others? (The exception is only close people).
And there's an inconsistency:
freedom, personal choice
But what about the Sith Lord? Shouldn't the rest of the "small fry" (Sith) obey him?

What about Lord Sith? Shouldn't the rest of the minor Sith obey him?
Of course, you can disobey if you can defeat him in a duel! Otherwise, you have a choice: freedom or death.
Why live for others? (The only exception is close people).
And why live for yourself?
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

Why live only for yourself?
Self-preservation should be geared towards making things better for oneself.
In a person's life, there are only a few people for whom they are willing to do more than for themselves (this could be a beloved girlfriend, a best friend, parents, etc.).

Self-preservation should be prioritized to ensure one's own well-being.
In a person's life, there are only a few individuals for whom they are willing to do more than for themselves (this could be a beloved girlfriend, a best friend, parents, etc.).
Unconvincing. One can help others (not to be confused with giving away all possessions and joining a monastery) and still live a comfortable life.
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?
