since we started talking about TV series, I'll tell you about the ones I watched as a child.
a long time ago (I don't remember when and how old I was), the series "Parallel Worlds" was shown on STS. Now I've already forgotten it, but I remember that I liked it, although I didn't watch all the episodes. Then the series "Quantum Leap" started, and I watched it more, but I didn't remember it very well, only the basics.

I liked this kind of science fiction... but I don't like stories about other planets, UFOs, aliens, and mutants.
in general, science fiction is also an interesting genre, and one (or maybe several) of its directions appeals to me.

P.S. I also liked movies (and cartoons) about superheroes (BUT not comedies)... and I never understood why the heroes didn't kill the villains... because they did so much wrong, and they let them live... now I look at it differently.

Americans just love adding all sorts of nonsense.

Yeah. I think that at the end of the series, John Connor will fall in love with her, and she will either die or somehow become human/learn to feel, and so on, as Americans like to do – spout all sorts of nonsense.
And the outbursts of people shouting "cursed machine, you're twisting our balls!" look completely cheap and stupid.

P.S. Usually, the villains themselves stumble in the final battle and fall into the abyss/pool with their own sharks/the epicenter of the explosion of the Devil's Base.

P.P.S. IMHO, "Science Wonders" is a great series. It's a bit pubescent, but fun.
P.P.P.S. And our series – well, either cops or second-rate dramas. Moreover, in "gangster series" like cops or brigades, Petersburg, etc., the heroes are constantly drinking vodka by the buckets.
P.P.P.P.S. But still, the cops who drink a lot are quite funny. There are often unserious, satirical episodes, and those are amusing.

By the way, I had a thought that John Connor would fall in love with the Terminator (just kidding), and then they would have children, etc. :D:D:D:D - because Americans are capable of anything.
And what really annoys me is that the actors are just like some kind of models - dolls.
It's annoying that Americans add stupid (!) humor everywhere; take Terminator 3, for example, I don't understand why they added such nonsense to a serious movie!
By the way, on one forum (well, not exactly a forum), some people wrote that Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 together aren't worth as much as 3 (well, it's clear what kind of people they are), in my opinion, the first one is even better than 3!

I didn't think you'd create a thread about Terminator. It's a decent series, watchable, but nothing special. You can watch it while waiting for the 4th Terminator, although is it worth watching if Schwarzenegger won't be in it? And they say it will be similar to "The Matrix"... well, we'll wait and see, they promised to release the movie in 2010. I actually watch RENTV just for the "Supernatural" series, and that's it.

Yes, I was also very surprised by the "ingenuity" of the directors in combining the Bible and the Terminator, it was even a bit sad :( And Sarah Connor's monologues are getting a bit tiresome. The third Terminator surpasses the two previous films in special effects by several steps... But to judge a film solely on its special effects is, at the very least, foolish. However, when there is a good combination of plot and computer graphics, it's simply wonderful. In my opinion, this is observed in the third film. I personally liked it. As for the stupid humor, every Hollywood film has humor to some extent. This is necessary to break up the constant tension, and you need to accept it normally. Although, I don't deny that sometimes the jokes go too far. But this is not a very common occurrence. And in general, if a film annoys you, why watch it? I watch it because I generally liked the series, and it doesn't cause any revulsion. P.S. As my friend said, "it goes well with a beer" :)

I heard that Terminator 4 will be released in 2009, not 2010, but I'm sure it won't be worth watching.

So, you're wrong to say that. ;) They plan to start filming Terminator 4 this May. The premiere is promised exactly a year later (i.e., 2009), but it's quite possible that they'll postpone it.

Wow, when I was little, I watched it too! :) I also watched "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Hercules"... In general, I watched enough TV series to last me 20 years. :)

I agree, the effects were great, and I liked it too. Of course, there were some minor inaccuracies, but it was still a cool movie... I also want to defend the plot of the 3rd Terminator:
Firstly, Terminator 2 ends with the fact that all the technologies of the future are destroyed, and the development of Skynet is supposedly stopped, thus averting the Apocalypse, but this is an obvious paradox: how could they have done it if Skynet didn't exist...?
(A similar twist was in the film "The Time Machine" (based on H.G. Wells) (A scientist invents a time machine to save his beloved from death, but it never works because he built the machine for that purpose; that is, if she stayed alive, the machine wouldn't exist).)
Secondly, in Terminator 2, after the credits, we see an elderly Sarah Connor with her grandchildren, but that won't last long; someone else will invent artificial intelligence, and the same thing will start again)))
In general, in my opinion, the continuation is more logical than the ending in the 2nd Terminator, but they also wanted to make some money.

The plot, to be honest, is approximately the same in all three Terminator movies, just with different details. In the second Terminator, there's also a moral element, like a robot can also be human...

I didn't like the Terminator scenario.
