Initially, this is a quiet thread. There is no goal to attract many participants or discuss something... I just wanted to say something from the heart - and I did.

In general, quotation is very characteristic of the art of the twentieth century. You can read Fray, for example - there are a huge number of hidden allusions and quotations that allow you to express a lot with just a few words, using the reader's literary experience.
And here, it's all quotations. People with a similar culture, to some extent with the same mentality (sorry for using these words, I always try to avoid them, but this formulation is quite concise) leave a few words here, and everyone understands them.

Thanks to my wonderful clanmates, I remembered the film by Lars von Trier, "The Boss of It All." It's a great movie; in general, when an "unconventional" director makes a comedy, it often turns out to be a work of high quality.

Yesterday, instead of checking tournament saves, I watched the movie "The Dark" on TV, which was translated as "Dark Forces" or something similar. It's a thriller based on the theme of the Elektra complex... It's harsh, but I liked it in some ways...

Yesterday, I first double-checked the tournament saves, summarized the results, and then decided to finish watching the new version of Spielberg's film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." I'll say this right away: it's about contact with other worlds. I haven't seen the original version of the film. And I won't say much about the film itself: it left me with mixed feelings. But what's interesting is that music was one of the main characters in the film. And the composer of the music is John Williams, the same one who wrote the music for "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter." It was impressive.

I attended the pre-premiere screening of the second Hulk movie yesterday. And I'll say this: comic book culture hasn't permeated my life enough for me to fully appreciate this film. Although, perhaps Americans find watching "Alyosha Popovich" and "Tugarin the Serpent" just as strange as we find this particular movie. The national flavor is too strong.

Yesterday, I watched the movie "Summer of My Love." I'll say this right away: it's rated 18+ and is only for men. Don't even think about watching it with children, especially daughters. Unfortunately, I didn't watch it from the beginning. This British film, which is being shown in Russia, leaves a mixed impression. Well, never mind, I'll talk about that another time. The film made an impression. And despite everything, the impression was good... Today and tomorrow, if I have time, I'll go to some premieres, and if anything interesting comes up, I'll share it.

I attended the premiere of the Hollywood movie "Death Race".
The trend of remakes (this film is a remake of "Death Race 2000") remains relevant. Perhaps it's due to a scriptwriting crisis, or perhaps producers want to show that they know how to make movies.

In the middle of the film, it seemed to get very convoluted, but then the theme with the headless body started, and it felt like it was mid-January. When it's still winter, and the nights are long, but the days are getting longer, and there's more and more light!
