Posts from How to play Heroes of Might and Magic III online via Hamachi?
Guys, help me out... My friend and I decided to play... through Hamachi... We all connected, and it seems like we need to enter the IP address in the game itself! But there's a problem: the Russian font is displayed, and instead of a period, the letter "e" (like in "yo") appears!!! The font doesn't change... It changes in Windows, but how do I switch back to Russian? I can't type the address!
You probably have the Platinum Edition, right? Try typing while holding down Shift (or Ctrl, I'm not sure).
I have a little problem here, so to speak, ahem.
With the third person, %( Hamachi launches normally, the green light is on for both, and we can ping each other. When the second person creates a game, I don't see it, and if I create it, he sees it but can't join. It says something like *try again*
Copy your opponent's IP address from Hamachi (e.g., 5.126.180.182), then go into the game, New-Network-TCP/IP. Click the 3rd button, and an IP address input field will appear. Enter the IP address there (5.126.180.182), then click OK... you're in the game. (The opponent should be the server; if you are the server, then he enters your IP address from Hamachi)(c) Geksorin
so, we used a program to play online backgammon... both of us have green indicators, but we can't ping each other... it's strange
we're both in the corporate local network and have gray addresses
haven't tried connecting via the internet yet...
I connect to the internet through a firewall on the server
Write down the IP address of your opponent (e.g., 192.168.10.182), then go to the game: New - Network - TPC/IP - Click the 3rd button, a field for entering the IP address will appear, enter it there (192.168.10.182), then click OK... you're in the game... (the opponent must be the server, if you are the server, then they enter your IP address) (c) Geksorin
There is no firewall or antivirus that could be blocking it; the firewall is disabled.
It only pings those who joined the network after me... what could be the reason? I can't figure it out... maybe it's related to the Hamachi version, or maybe there's something wrong with my internet connection... can anyone offer some advice?
Please explain in more detail; the essence of the problem is unclear. (c) Geksorin

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
please help, the game crashes when I try to connect. Help me if you can.:smile05:
1) Please tell me the version of Hamachi and Heroes.
2) Describe the situation in more detail (preferably with screenshots).

We've encountered the following problem several times:
We're trying to play Heroes 3 through Hamachi, and the lights are green;
I have the Platinum Edition, and my partner has SoD 3.2;
I create a map, he joins, and says he only sees the intro screen, there are no menus for choosing a faction, I see his messages in the chat, but he doesn't see mine, and when we try to start the game, both computers freeze.
My partner has played with other people who have the Platinum Edition; I've played with people who have SoD 3.2.
If anyone has any ideas on how to overcome this, please let us know.
I'm creating a map, he logs in and says he only sees the splash screen, there are no menus to choose a castle, I see his messages in the chat, but he doesn't see mine, and when he tries to launch the game, both computers freeze.
But (!) leave at least one map in the Maps folder that can be played in multiplayer.
Do the same with the Games folder, where the game saves are stored. Leave up to 10-15 necessary saves in this folder, and delete or move the rest to another location for storage.
The fact is that often, due to a large number of maps or saves, the server player's computer cannot handle such a large amount of information (when reading the headers of maps or saves).
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
I can't figure out how to play the online game.
Where do I need to go and what do I need to do?
Could someone explain these steps to me in detail...? :confused:
