Interesting idea. I would gladly play, gain experience from other players, and share some of my own knowledge. The only issue is time. The deadlines are too tight :( I'm afraid I physically won't be able to participate... I simply won't have enough time.

I think reports should be submitted in the Online Game Reports and Confirmations thread, as usual, with the note Tournament "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours". Reasons: 1. It will be easier for SS-D. 2. There aren't that many matches - it won't be difficult for me to keep track, and the speed won't suffer. If anyone has any suggestions (objections, comments) regarding this, please contact me via ICQ.

Preliminary rules:
(the final version will be in a new topic: Tournament "You're for me, I'm for you")
1. The tournament is held using a double-elimination system. That is, a participant who loses 2 matches is eliminated from the tournament. If you want to learn more, click here
2. Each match is played until 2 wins. If the score is 1:1, a full random map is played, without restarts. Something like a tie-break. Or, if you prefer, make it 2:0 and there will be no problems:)

I propose we discuss holding a Tournaments:
I am just the initiator; if anyone from our community wants to become the organizer (I don't have much experience), I would be very happy.

1) The question is, where will the "online" notification be displayed – there are different types of Tournaments.
2) 3 days is not serious. But if there is such an idea, it should have been considered earlier...
3) I want to hold an online Tournament for 3 players soon, but it will last longer than 3 days – definitely more.

I will send information to all my familiar Heroes players via ICQ for discussion and ask them to express their opinions – preferably as specifically as possible. Well, if you really want to chat a little and complain, you are also welcome – after all, it's just a discussion :)

As specifically as possible:
in 4 days, create a regulation, rules, gather a sufficient number of participants so that it can be called a Tournament, and not just a gathering of 6 gamers:cool:, and hold at least a few games for each of them – it is truly "mission impossible":D

Taking this comment into account, as well as the wishes of many players in private conversations, with regret (for myself :)), this restriction will be removed.
This weekend, we still need to hold the first round of the bracket.
No later than 5:00 PM Moscow time on February 23, 2008, the regulations, rules, and tournament bracket will be posted in a new topic titled Tournament "You're Me, I'm You". Until then, please actively express your opinions here and submit applications.

The list of participants, the double-elimination tournament bracket, and the schedule of matches per round are in the second post. Changes for the first two rounds will be made daily; thereafter, at least once a week.
Reports will be posted in the general thread with the note “Tournament ‘You’re Me, I’m You.’”

to mo_next, kapral: Guys, we couldn’t fit you into it. Let me explain – according to this system, it is highly desirable that the number of participants equals a power of 2: 4, 8, 16. We didn't get 16 participants in such a short recruitment period (2 days). Please don’t despair – if suddenly someone needs to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances (although there shouldn’t be any – even death isn’t an excuse :)), I will ask for your help first!
