Everyone has probably played Half-Life, or, to put it simply, Half-Life. Well, at least almost everyone. It's an amazing game, and I'm sure most of those who have played it will agree.
Now, let's get to the point. I created this thread primarily to find out how many people on the forum actually play Half-Life 2: Deathmatch (hereafter, HL2: DM), and also to provide a platform for forum members to arrange games. I don't know if my thread will become very popular, but if even a few players who play HL2: DM are found, that would be great. Also, I'm not prohibiting discussions about Half-Life in general in this thread. You can also post funny screenshots here, share news, etc. This is to keep the thread more or less relevant.
You might ask me why I don't just go to a forum dedicated to the game. After all, there are plenty of players there, and you can discuss the game... Of course, that's true. However, I don't have time to be active on two forums at the same time, that's one thing. Secondly, Heroes is my main game, and I dedicate most of my time to it. Half-Life is just a game I play occasionally. I'm just fixated on it for a while. I might abandon it someday, but I'm unlikely to abandon Heroes.
P.S. By the way, I don't know if this promotion is still ongoing, but at least recently, you could download drivers for ATI cards and get a link to download HL2: DM for free. It's about 2 GB in size. With my 128 kbps connection, I downloaded it quite quickly (I ran it twice overnight and also downloaded it during the day). Playing it is also practically problem-free, and the ping is acceptable.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
Well, I have Half-Life 2 and Episode 2. I'm not sure about Deathmatch, but I can play with you. Also, could you give me a link where I can download those 2GB of Half-Life? My internet is faster, so it will probably take about 3 hours to download. And my video card is also from ATI.
I can't provide a link. To download it, you need to download the ATI drivers; the link should be included with them, which allows you to download the game for free. The only requirement is that you need to install Steam. However, I'm not sure if the free distribution of Deathmatch is still ongoing for owners of these video cards. I obtained the game in this way because I had an ATI video card not long ago. But my internet was slow at the time, and after I upgraded it, I decided to download it.

The idea of playing Half-Life with heroes would be interesting.))) For me, Half-Life is the best action game, and after Portal, Valve became one of my favorite developers. Although, I didn't like the idea of breaking Half-Life into episodes; they just wanted to make more money... but they promised that the third Half-Life will be good.
