here's another thing: at the very beginning of the game, when the knight attacks Zephyr, you can't kill the adepts from his army; at least one must survive and switch to Zephyr's side.

I forgot, you also need to dig up the Tear of Ashi. It's in the dungeon.
After the ritual, the knight's Castle transformed into a demon Castle. It seems that all the accumulated knight units also turned into demons. The demons had a very large army. If I play again, Zephyr and his supporting heroes will fly around like bees and perform this ritual much earlier than this time.
A few notes:
1. The red units from the outpost in front of the human Castle can freely join Duncan and Frida's army, so don't pay attention to the small army they give you at the beginning, even with a powerful demon. Some of the red units on the map will also join (only the griffons didn't join me).
2. Note that the main demon Castle is guarded by two garrisons. But the armies in them are different; one is almost three times weaker than the other.
3. Try to level up Frida and give her all the composite artifacts (those that consist of several parts), as they will be transferred to her in the final mission, where she will assault one of the demon Castles.
4. Do not give the Tear of Ashi to Duncan. She will move to the next mission along with Zephyr. She is more useful there at the beginning of the mission. And in this mission, there are enough money and resources even without her to quickly build up the castle.
You will spend most of the last mission without a castle; it will appear at the end of the game. And as soon as you defeat the Dark Elves, you will receive significant reinforcements – a detachment of Free Cyclops, Black Dragons, Archangels, and Lava Dragons (85 units each). The main thing is not to take them all at once; their numbers will increase by 10% per week. But keep in mind that Biara will have 101 Archdevils and Archdemons on her walls, as well as another impressive army, plus she has a developed Urgash call, meaning all units will instantly summon an equal-sized detachment. In addition, she has a powerful ballista that fires three bolts at a time, which can take out four Thunderbirds.
Thank you for the warning. Then I will use 2 Tears in the 3rd mission. I just can't start the walkthrough - I don't have time. I just loaded the mission and took a look. I hope Zehir still has the flying city. And did he forget this ability in the 4th mission, or is there just no place for the city there?
Don't forget to equip Wulstfren with artifacts for close combat before you finish the third mission. He will have a tough time.
Before storming Claw, visit all the morale boosters; Biara will have the Ring of Broken Spirit, which increases morale by 2.
I'll take the Tear from mission 3 into mission 4. I'm just not sure if it's needed there.
At the same time, each unit would gain 16 reinforcement warriors. :)
I moved the black dragons and archangels behind the walls, plus the Thunderbirds for cover.
The other units didn't even participate in the battle.

True, I was running around for about six weeks after the reinforcements appeared.
I visited the upgrade locations, freed the shamans, and bought artifacts.
During that time, the number of reinforcements almost doubled.
The other units didn't even participate in the battle.I didn't move the units at all; otherwise, they would have been destroyed very quickly. I cast Enslave, Divine Retribution, and Phantom. I managed to use the Archangels once to resurrect, and once to resurrect Titans with a hero. In the end, only two Titans remained:smile14:
I replayed it several times until I succeeded. In principle, I considered the option of abandoning the second hero, whom I bought at the beginning of the mission and improved with mentoring and another set of artifacts, and the remaining troops on Biara, but I was afraid that it would be a mere scratch for her, and she would use my artifacts:confused: Some build a strategy around the Alien, but the time it takes to wait for him is similar to playing on "recruit," and it also requires codes:smile13:
